I don't believe in fretting and greiving, why mess around with strife?
[In some ways, this trial was simpler. The killer was lacking in remorse, the victim innocent. The lines were clearer. Was that better, or worse?
Either way, Fern and Alex make up something of a green team, preparing a meal in the kitchen. Nothing particularly complicated. Coffee and water for whoever want it is at one end of the dining table. Along the rest of it is a variety of foods. A plate of cheese and crackers, a bowl of salad and carrots for the healthy people, some handy finger sandwiches, and... a big pot of mac and cheese. What they lack in presentation they make up in sheer volume of food. That's a big tub of mac and cheese.
They struggle with the invitations for a bit before eventually coming up with possibly the most awkward phrasing possible. These notes are quietly shoved under doors with little fanfare more than a quick knock.
We got food in eat place. Food is good to eat. Enjoy food with us?

Sayaka isn't necessarily in the best mood, but food is something she isn't going to turn down at this point. She'll likely be in the kitchen for a bit to make some tea for herself, but otherwise, she'll be out and about in the Dining Room, either eating at the table or going up to people in general. [If nothing else, from the way her expression is structured...it looks like absolutely nothing's wrong.
...of course, she'll be slipping out of the party a portion of the way through, and going to the conference room. It's...quiet, here. And she's got her stack of paper again, and appears to be writing--she's at the best vantage point to see anyone come through the door, and while she won't be too surprised if someone comes in, she's...entirely out of warmth, and something about her expression is just a bit too neutral.
She doesn't speak up, but she won't be opposed to company--emotions are just a little more dead tonight than she would like, and her mind feels miles away. If someone does come in, she'll...regard them a bit, unless they try to speak to her explicitly.]

[Kirei didn't bother much with the afterparty itself, relegating himself to the kitchen and keeping his hands busy with what appeared to be the beginning of vegetable fried rice. He'd vanished back into his room for a brief while after the execution; god only knows what he was doing in there, but he'll actually not balk terribly at the invitation to get food. The wording entertains him, and he hasn't eaten today, and sure a couple of girls died today but as far as he's concerned Blue went down honorably and Chitoge...well, she was unconscious the whole time, how terrible could it have possibly been?
He'll be in the dining hall for a short while, seeming decidedly less annoyed than he was last week with the idea of doing this; he...is eating, because holy shit he has never seen this much mac and cheese in one place in a reasonably casual setting? That is...
...That is also probably not something he should be doing to his organs, while we're all being honest with ourselves, but you know what he'll live. And he's not opposed to company, either, so at least there's that.
Granted, as soon as he finds himself bored with that sort of thing and wanting to be away from the spot where most of the people surely are, he can be found in the ballroom; he's got one of those gauntlets from the machine with him, actually - it's engraved with the same circle as was seen on the floor of the pit earlier. He doesn't seem to be doing anything in particular; he's sitting up on the stage, with his back propped up against the wall, and he's kind of messing with the articulated jointed segments on the gauntlet. He seems fairly lost in thought; he's humming idly to himself, just to have some sort of sound present, and he's kind of smiling vaguely as he does...whatever it is he's doing in here, but he'll be aware of you if you come in.

She'll be in the dining room for a bit, though just like last week, she's opted to make hot chocolate instead of taking any of the drinks available. There's a bowl of ice cream with her, along with a plate of some of those cheese and crackers, some finger sandwiches, and... she has decided to skip on the mac and cheese, thank you for the option but no thank you.
If approached, she'll give a little wave to the simple decorations Fern and Alex've bothered to put up: ] Totally not enough for a real party, buuuuut like, good effort, I guess.
[ Eventually she'll finish eating and opt to go elsewhere—she's mainly going to be found around the second floor of this place: documenting every bottle of pill on several sheets of paper in the infirmary (down to recommended dosage, what they're for, exact names, all that good stuff), working on some clothing in the sewing room for a short while, and finally settling in the library with a bunch of books... on the ground, with them in stacks around her, because she's a fucking heathen. ]

After a little chatting here and there, Rin will be heading upstairs to the second floor, poking around the various rooms in the same way most people would have on Sunday. She'd meant to check them out more yesterday, but got sidetracked helping Sayaka.
Perhaps because of that it's a little ironic that she yet again ends up in the sewing room, several long, colorful bands of fabric stretched on the table she's working at, by one of the sewing machines. Despite it's ancientness, she seems entirely comfortable with it. It looks like she's making hair ribbons, crafting them into cute bows.]
