Looks like this will be a weekly thing

[This whole week has been awful. This whole experience has been awful. Mordecai wants to go straight to his room and deal with his frustrations, but that's not what a mayor does. A mayor takes charge, a mayor fixes what's wrong, a mayor makes things better. Even if he can't do everything on his own, he's has to do something.

Two hours after the end of the trial, the living will find another note slipped underneath their doors.]

There's cookies in the kitchen. The dining room is ready for anyone who needs a quiet place to talk it out. I'll be in the bar if you need a drink, alcoholic or something more appropriate for the underage crowd.

[There's a pile of warm chocolate chip cookies in the kitchen. Two more candles are lit at the memorial - one for the victim, one for the culprit - and Mordecai has left a pile of blankets from the storage room on one of the dining room tables.]

[Susan's barely talked to Yuuri, but she takes the cookie anyhow. With the way they're running through people, she imagines none of them are going to remain strangers for long.]

[ He shakes his head. ]

No problem. I just wanted to make sure everyone got one.

[Susan nods. Well.

...she should probably say something else.]

How are you doing? [He...probably was closer to one or the other of them. Susan figures everyone but Rick and Dio likely were.]

[ He's silent for a few moments. How is he feeling? ]

I don't really know... I really liked Chie-san, but now I don't know what to think. [ He sighs. ] I understand why she did it, but I don't know how she could do that at the same time.

...she was going to kill Sol anyway. If she got away with it.

[That's something that's been bothering her. Chie's plan was to kill all of them, yet she still went to such lengths to spare Sol a little longer? Susan can understand the sentiment, but it was cruel - it was cruel to make the girl outlive her twin.

If she cared that much for Sol, she shouldn't have chosen Luna, or anyone at all. Or she should have chosen both.]

[ He sighs, more confusion welling up inside. ]

I'm glad Sol is still here, but... I can't imagine what that must be like, to lose your twin.

No...I never had any siblings at all. But losing family always hurts.

Yeah... I've been lucky and haven't lost any family members. [ Not yet, at least, and he doesn't even want to think about what losing them might be like. ]

Still, I'm really worried about Sol. I'm amazed she was able to even participate in the trial today at all.

We should keep an eye on her.

[She doesn't mean herself so much, though she intends to do so when she can. It's just that they're not very close.]

[swirlied]

[ He nods. ]

I definitely plan on it. I'll probably go check on her really soon, actually.

That's good. She should be with someone she trusts right now.

[swirlied]

[ He nods. ]

I think I'll go pretty soon. I wanted to give her some time to be alone, but I don't want her to be by herself for too long.

Alright.

...she might not want you around now, but maybe you should stick around anyway. It won't last forever.

[swirlied]

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Even if she doesn't want me there, I just want to make sure she's okay for now.

[ And hopefully talk about everything, if she's up for it.

Yuuri pauses. ] ...Thanks, by the way. I wasn't really sure what to do, but talking to you helped me figure it out.

I'm sorry. I can't even imagine what it's like...

It really is... I just hope my luck doesn't run out anytime soon.
