WEEK 2.

WEEK 2 Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means. No more excuses from here on out. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain? [She notices the other girl when she wanders into the infirmary, and she glances at her with a tilt of her head.]

What are you looking for?

[ that sure is a lot of "you tried, honey." ]

Have you considered asking someone to show you how to make a pair of socks? It'd suck if you had to step in somebody's blood while barefoot.

ballroom

[She wanders into the ballroom when Sigrun is examining the piano, and she takes a few steps towards the older woman.]

What are you looking for?

[Taken by surprise, she glances towards Blue just in time to see her hold up the pair of underwear, and her eyes widen slightly. Her delicate sensibilities??]

That is hardly necessary.

I know, but like. It's such a waste to, like, not even take a picture.

[She sounds vaguely sad.]

[Well, Susan already brought Weiss here earlier, so.]

What are you looking for?

[Adelina happens to be near the library when she hears that noise, and the outburst definitely takes her by surprise. She hurries into the library with a look of focus, scanning the entire room for any obvious signs of damage before she glances towards Hibiki.]

Is something amiss?

...Yes, let's get out of here.

[HERE. HAVE A SHOULDER. WE'RE GOING TO THE INFIRMARY.]

[....mmmmmmm. Susan doesn't really know this girl at all, but she's been hanging around the infirmary since the incident, so.]

You should take some with you. [The disinfectant and bandages.] So you could treat it in your room, if you need to.

[bloodbiter]

[She doesn't want to push, but she can feel her concern growing. She takes in a small breath.]

If you should ever want to speak about it... I would be glad to listen.

I've done worse to myself.

[ She's had more than a few episodes like this one before; she's no stranger to hurting her fists like this. But she can't recall the last time she punched a wall like this? Probably not since that whole incident with the play, back when she was a first year... ]

It's not like we have a dojo or anything. I, er, had to improvise...

I got what I think is a smoke bomb after a few coins. Where does that track in weapons?

[ Waving his hand dismissively. He'll think about it. ]

I don't usually climb bookcases, but it wasn't particularly difficult.

[ No more different than climbing a tree tbh, and she's used to those. ]

What book is that? [ She gestures to the book Adelina picked from the shelf. ]

Depends what's in it. It sounds like a child's idea of a good way to escape an attacker...but it could also be tear gas. You probably couldn't kill someone with just one of those, but you could bring them down. Even someone who nobody would think could be beat in a fight...

[A good way to try and hide a crime. She'll need to remember that those are in there.]

If I had my camera on me, I'd take a picture. Unfortunately, it's probably in the machine and I haven't had much luck with that thing.

[ She got a taser? Which is good. But the rest... eh, she'd rather have a camera than a dinosaur bone tbh. ]

That seems like a smart way to go about it, rather than, like, busting my ass to keep everyone's names straight. But I'm always afraid I'm gonna miss out on worldbuilding or something if I do that. But you ever notice, like, in fantasy novels, they always have people with really similar names? I always feel like they do that specifically to trip you. It's like, this one's Sauron, and this one's Saruman, and they're both bad guys and they're both important...

Pigtails really got an earful, but people don't like to hear the truth, they'd rather listen to bullshit instead.

Mm, you do that. [ She nods. Hanging it in the foyer might not be the best idea... ] What else did you get? Anything interesting?

Yeah, me neither, if you couldn't tell. For someone called Dexterous, I'm actually not too great with sewing...my friend Kosaki, she was always way better with all this sort of home ec stuff than I was. Cooking and housekeeping and whatnot. The only times I really get to do that sort of thing is in class, so I'm not the best...

[ At cooking, especially. ]

Every time I try to make, like, a cute boxed lunch or something, for example, it always blows up in my face.

[She looks back down to the book, then back up at Chie.]

I'm not certain what the plot is, precisely, but it looks as though it's about knights.

That's something I've been wondering: does the timer restart after each murder? Or are we always running down the clock?
