WEEK 2 Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means. No more excuses from here on out. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain? As a whole humanity doesn't have a good track record when it's about being peaceful, and unfortunately that can't be changed. Case in point: this place.

That morning Kyrie went to go make breakfasts like usual. That's when she found out a certain object was gone, and such an unusual situation kind of bothered her. What's going to happen with that toaster?

Once you enter to take your freshly-made breakfast, Kyrie will ask:]

Have you seen the toaster? For some reason it's gone.

Oh, I mean bending. It's an ability I have back home that allows me to manipulate water how I see fit. I guess some people would see it as a form of magic, even if I don' see it that way, but...

Who are Jude and Ludger? I take it they're people that you are personally acquainted with.

[Well, it's nice to hear her cooking is good, but she also wants to learn about other people and their friends. It's interesting to hear such stories, at least it is to her. That and she gets to learn about her fellow participants this way.]

...I was expecting an announcement of some sort, perhaps, but... not necessarily the sheer amount of violence. Maybe if he just seemed to have a heart attack or something...

Yeah. Now that we know what's on the line when a murder is committed and a trial is held, they'll be more likely to take an intentional murder as a slight against them. Everyone else dies if a killer manages to walk free, after all.

[He's sure that Terumi noticed the initial nonchalance about the whole thing among many in the group, before the true conditions were revealed.]

Most likely. I expect it more from the majority of the kids, since they're so new to the reality of death and survival. This is one hell of a way to introduce them to it.

[Well, Sayaka's just making some omurice for breakfast--she's used to people being in the kitchen when she is, at least. It's not unusual, and it's usually best to make what you want and get out so the others can use it.

...She does catch the staring out of the corner of her eye, though, and faces Milla with a smile.]

I've never really had an...older lady influence, I guess I should say? It's...honestly nice, I guess. I know it isn't quite the same, but you've done a lot for me just by being here.
