WEEK 2 Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means. No more excuses from here on out. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain? [Sayaka takes a breath, just...kind of trying to steady herself.]

We...all of us kept waking up in different classrooms, and steadily meeting up with one another. By the time the last student made their way in, there was...fifteen of us. We were all students who were supposed to be sharing the same class, but we didn't remember anything about the way the school was. It was...all sealed off, like this place...

[...this is horrifying to keep trying to imagine, and she just...kind of kneads her fingers into her plush, head going downward.]

[...stick together, huh.

Sayaka just...pauses a bit at that, expression never quite leaving that usual smile.]

I'll...be fine. I think it's...everyone else who needs to be worried for, you know?

[firstaid]

The toaster? Oh was it that metal contraption that you put bread in?

[She's only guessing that's it because she's also noticed it's missing. How odd...]

Maybe someone took it to their room.

I sure hope you are! Keep that up and I'll have to start cooking for you!

...Okay, these need to just...be destroyed, more than likely. Or something to that effect. We can't have something like this here.

Maybe there's someone who just really doesn't want me to eat breakfast.

[ She can't cook worth a damn, so she's just been relying on toast, true to anime character form. ]

Why on earth would someone take that, though, of all things?

If you're talking about the difference between what we went through the other day and a legit trial, they're about as different as can be.

[ She huffs a little, her ribbon bobbing a little bit with her. She seems to feel pretty strongly on the subject; she's seen a fair amount of trials in her time. They're typically boring affairs, honestly. Nowhere near as dramatized as television and movies would have you believe. ]

And not only that, it's different depending on where you go, too. The system in America and the system in Japan, for example, is hella different.

That...sounds a little more like you're out of the frying pan and into the fire.

[ Geez louise... ]

But you're both still here, so I'm guessing that got resolved, at least...

Nah, it's not lecturing. If it were the other way around, I'd tell you the same damn thing. Last thing I want is for anyone to, like, go rogue. That's not gonna get us anywhere.

[ And maybe punching the wall was her way of trying to hammer that in. ]

...I'd say I don't know what the hell he was thinking, but...

[ That'd be an outright lie. Anyone can see it. ]

[ No answer... oh, she was spot on, huh? She's not no idea why, but she was favoring one arm as far back as the whole party with the questions, at least a little, right? She's been around less and her body language now...

The vampire's eyes turn more catlike and she smirks, apparently satisfied at the idea she got it right. She even Evil Old Lady chuckles. ]

[matchbreaker]

[ Yeah, she will. She won't even talk!

...

But she's also not that kind so she is picking up the photos again and sort of flipping through them in order to study them again, trying to sort of quickly memorize all the faces. ]

[matchbreaker]

[ What about her own mother or grandmother? She thinks bot of those first but holds her tongue. She frowns a little, actually. This is too close, too close by half. Sure she was reacting on impulse ( a kid's spine just exploded ) but now she's got some human girl saying she's done a lot. She's done nothing...

Had she?

She bites her lip, but then exhales, one of her hands resting on her chin. ]

...Well. [ . . . ] Well, it's good that you do, then.

[matchbreaker]

Oh, for simplicity's sake, I suppose? [ She tilts her head... ] ... There are some things that are immutable. A relationship between a human and a vampire like that, it might as well be a romance between a chimpanzee and an orangutan. Sure they look a little similar, but it's absurd to imagine, right? But that doesn't mean there isn't a vague in making some mistakes when you're young, or being some amount rebellious.

[ Brush... and she finishes it off there. She seems content with the results now, fluffing it ]

I can't speak for idols, but from my own experiences, going along with everything set out for you's the path of least resistance, but it's not usually the happiest.

[ But at least she's alright. Last thing we need is a body announcement because someone hacked up a lung. Death by fucking raspberry.

But regardless, you proved your point. If it means you won't choke, I could be convinced, to sing along with you. Maybe.

Maybe Smith-san or Kimblee-san know how to safely destroy them? [ since you don't want to accidentally detonate one... ] They're non-lethal, but I'm pretty sure the blast can still cause injuries.

Thank you. It's not that I think you'll do something improper, it's more like I want to be cautious about this kind of stuff. You know, wanting to be one step ahead of those who do want to kill.

I don't intend to let myself be killed, after all.

[Yeah, she's not trusting anyone in this murder academy]

That means we agree that Jericho and the other woman are human, then?

[ She will, indeed, take the book though, sort of flipping through it. Maybe later she'll read it and compare to those stories from when she was young. After all, she did learn a great number of them. ]

Exactly, that's the toaster. [Someone took it to their room?] I hope nobody thought it could be used like a weapon, because personally I doubt it. Toasters aren't weapon material at all.

Cheesy is right. Or maybe it's just more bad writing.

[ Never mind Yuri actually just skimmed the pages and basically paraphrased/sort of made up shit the way he understood it. ]

[ Yuri begins to take his time looking through stuff. ]

Yeah, that's my last name. But what's with the whole -san thing?

[ Was that similar to the -chan Kyrie used for Estelle? Well, he forgot to ask her about it. ]

Zagi's tried attacking us a few times, but we have been able to fend him off no problem.

[Yep, it's that simple...!]

A weapon? You would think what we've gotten from the vending machine or the knives from the kitchen would be sufficient.

It's unlikely they did it out of a love for toast, that much I'm sure about.

[If someone took the toaster because they wanted all the toast for themselves then Kyrie is going to be so puzzled, hah]
