WEEK 2.

WEEK 2 Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means. No more excuses from here on out. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain? It may have been planted by the Coordinators. We don't know the extent of their abilities, they may be able to influence our minds that way.

[She selects a bottle, and on second thought, just removes the pills and hands them to Sayaka herself.]

The stuff we were taken with? I...guess it could be.

[She hasn't seen anything to indicate that, but it's not at all an outlandish idea.]

There's nothing of mine that's very valuable anyway.

Mine was...I don't know. Most of it seemed like things that could happen, but then...I'm not sure.

Greek, yeah. It can mean...beginnings, or the first.

Or it could just be an A.

Hopefully not. It'd be someone who was planning it, and not badly...

[If anyone else HAS to commit a murder, she at least hopes they're idiots about it and get caught easily?]

[ She blinks, turning with a surprised expression. ]

I mean, as long as it doesn't itch? Or are you really that good?

Huh! So like Doyle and the like? I could see that being interesting... honestly, I'm not really the most well read person ever... though we do have a huge archive in the manor's basement. We managed to ship some out from Europe.

[She laughs sheepishly.]

I was just going to grab some fruit and toast, honestly...

Honestly, that's making everything sound like they planned for... well, everything.

I haven't seen anything even remotely on the subject, I'm afraid. It's the weirdest thing.

INVESTIGATION

[Susan goes to the kitchen on Wednesday morning, as per usual. She doesn't usually put a lot of effort into making breakfast, so toast is one of the more common items she'll make. As such, she spends some time looking through all the cabinets, trying to discover where some idiot has, inexplicably, decided to hide the toaster.

Ugh. Who stole the toaster.

They've talked about investigation, and it seems like a good idea. Susan isn't quite sure what there may be to find, or how useful she would be at it anyway, so she decides to start with the ballroom. She's familiar enough with it. Maybe she would be able to think of somewhere to look? You may find her poking around the piano rather than playing it for once.

In the evening, she's in the dining hall. The candles Cabanela left out - three, now, so quickly - are lit again, and Susan sits on the edge of the flickering halo of candlelight, drawing. There's a finished portrait of Caren already, lying near the candles; it's quite good. She seems to be working on Yosuke now.]

I've been in here a lot this week. It's definitely been a good distraction.

[And lord knows, she's needed it.]

What's your favorite genre?

Oh, I was going to take it anyway--- err. I mean, thank you, I will.

[Weiss calls dibs on first punch.]

I certainly hope it does.

It won't itch! But if you let me do what I please, they'll end up cute, pink, and covered in lace.

[and Elda doesn't seem like the type that's going to appreciate pink fluff.]

[Susan enters, looks at the note, looks at the place where the toaster used to be, and sighs.]
