WEEK 2 Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means. No more excuses from here on out. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain? Yeah. It'd be pretty... tacky? Honestly, I'm still not sure how I feel about there being these "graves" in general.

I would estimate the odds to be generally in our favor with regards to having someone capable of basic first aid for as long as possible.

[This week has certainly been a week. Weiss is up early, as usual, and she walks into the kitchen, only to find that the toaster-napper still hasn't returned it. She'll sigh, instead just making oatmeal to go with her usual fruit bowl.

Later, she can be found in the dining hall, with a bunch of things she got from the vending machine. She'll stick up a sign next to the pile, which contains bat jerky, a rather embarrassingly small nurse's outfit, and a hazmat suit, reading 'free things'. She's a little curious as to who the stuff might belong to, so she'll be nearby reading and keeping an eye on it.]

Psychotic is certainly one way to put it. Godawful is the word I'd use, followed by 'what the actual hell' and 'why'.

[That's going to help a little. She's still pretty shaky, though.]

I don't think there are any such things in this book, but I can't be certain just yet.

[That's enough to make Weiss almost tear up, but she brushes her hand over her eyes just to make sure. She's not used to being able to not hide her feelings.]

[Her voice cracks a tiny bit, but she swallows the lump in her throat.]

It's weird how being here almost means more freedom than in my family's house.

[ Oh what smells so bad but familiar? Elda comes in on the later part of the day, blinking past a bit of bleariness and... Oh...

People? [Hrmm.] Perhaps, but you couldn't call anyone he executes to be human.

[Halfway down the stairs Rin's already feeling winded, and tiredly tries to hold herself straighter to compensate for that.]

If you want to know more than that, you should ask him yourself. He favors long-winded rambles, so he might tell you.

That's really weird. Rocks and soil shouldn't change that much...

[Rin frowns, and makes sure to keep her her head held high.]

And? What does that mean to you?

How should I know? You broke your arm, got some long term infection in there...? I guess if you're being cagey it could be made of magic or something and because none of us have powers it's rotting off. That'd explain the smell in here.

[Kirei was passing through the dining hall on the way to the kitchen, but...honestly, it was hard not to stop and take a second look at that pile of god-only-knew-what.]

...Did all of this come from that machine?

[...Mmph. She's not really sure what to say there, because that's honestly horrifying to think about. How many times would this have had to repeat, to get all of those images...?

She'll pull Alex a bit closer.]

...If we have a meeting this week, perhaps someone will bring these up. You can't have just been the only one to have something like that happen to you...and I'm so sorry, if it did. You don't deserve this.
