WEEK 2 Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means. No more excuses from here on out. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain? ... Oh, about that! I was going to offer you a peace offering!

[ and she produces from where she dropped it as she came into the room... a pillow sized sac of a bitter ass dark tea. The tea of mourning. she tosses it towards Rin. ]

There, that'll cover it up more.

... Oh, really?! None at all, huh?!

[ a spark comes into her eyes...... ]

Oh, really? I guess O positive's pretty common too. The weird one to me is how much B and the mixed on they had.

You're adding to it though, aren't you? Do you feel bad for it to be anonymous as long as it's going to exist...?

[ a hand brushes under her chin, resting her chin in her palm eventually. ]

Oh, no! It's fine...I appreciate that you don't mind, though. It's...just something, I suppose.

[She laughs a little, like nothing's wrong.]

It's really fascinating, though, I have to admit that. We all have things that are such big parts of our lives, that it's...so odd, really, when other places don't have them. It's kind of strange, isn't it?

[bloodbiter]

[She nods.]

I was certain I misheard the first time someone told me they had no monsters in their world. It must have been the same the first time someone told you about magic.

[blackmass]

[The perpetual smile on Kirei's face faded somewhat, replaced with what might have passed for something either thoughtful or utterly indifferent. With him, it was hard to tell the difference.]

...And if someone were to be hurt or killed in such attempts to do good? Does that not begin to travel the path towards believing that the end simply justifies the means in all cases?

... What's the funny thing?

[ . . . . She doesn't eat so she didn't notice the toaster was missing she's only really in here now to ... like. warm up some water. ]

Never the less, Sayaka practically grins when he seems to realize what she's going for.]

You bet! Honestly, I was just as surprised to see this as I was with...at least half of the stuff in there, but this? This has gotta be one of the best things I got from there.

[In any case, though, Sayaka clasps her hands in front of her.]

I don't suppose you'd like to borrow it for a bit? Or, maybe I could give you a bit of a makeover? It doesn't matter either way to me, but it'd just be rude to keep this for myself.

... Oh someone's in here. Elda had walked in here thinking she might be alone and so shuffled something that she had in hand back into her skirt pocket and grinning a little. after all, it's that girl she likes okay!

... So. ]

[shuttermouse]

Am I wrong, though? We're irrational creatures that think we're superior to everything else on the planet.

[ She's not being disparaging here, just sort of making an observation. ]

[...HI, THAT MANAGES TO THROW HER AND SHE WAVES HER HANDS IN FRONT OF HER IN HORROR.]

What? No, no, not at all! I...I should've been able to help him out, I don't blame any of you for what happened!

[matchbreaker]

Oh no, no, that's certainly true. Spread out to every corner of the world... still, if the results mean anything, you lot are probably right.

[ . . . Oh, right. ]

Or well, at least in the world I know: humanity's long showed their mastery over nature, flora, fauna, the skies? Hell, even made it to the moon. They needed to invent gods who can tell them off, so mighty were they.

[bloodbiter]

[She blinks in surprise at the reaction, and then shakes her head quickly.]

Ah - I meant no offense, or to imply that you did. It's more to say... If you do not think it was anyone else's fault that we did not stop him, why do you believe it was specifically your own?

ballroom

[matchbreaker]

[ In the ballroom...

... Well, I mean, Elda has super silent footsteps? so when she notices that Sayaka is making some effort, she decides not to interrupt it, and furthermore sort of insists on the idea of ... you know, not showing herself? So the vampire woman sort of skulks into the shadows as best she can to watch and get quietly towards the stage.

... Watching the show. ]

[She glances up as Elda comes in, offering her a small smile.]

I'm not certain exactly what it will end up as. I'm starting with a field of flowers.

[shuttermouse]

Hmm, well, Kimblee-san got a photo that had been in his possession for a while. He hadn't seen it in ages though. I'm not sure why the Coordinators went through the trouble of finding it just to put it in the machine.

[matchbreaker]

Oh, huh! Just for the hell've it or do you think that'll end up a blanket or a pillow or something?

[ Elda settles in next the the girl... but it seems weird to loom there and look down...

Oh! She'll just jump up and balance on the arm rest. That makes more sense. ]

That's exactly what I'm talking about that if someone was hurt or killed, but there was a good motive behind it. For example, what if there was a corrupt lawmaker. He killed hundreds of people in his own greed, yet when the law officials found out, they just gave him a demotion. This means he could continue his cruel deeds.

So someone had decided to kill him so he would no longer be a threat.

[Her face is serious now.]

Let's say some people do think the person who killed is a criminal, which is not incorrect since he broke a law, yet there are others who don't think he did anything wrong since he took care of someone who was a threat.

It's a rather confusing topic, yet it makes me think. I know this conversation is going in circles, but it's something that I don't think I can ever arrive on an answer for.

Would you like me to show you where they are?

[Tea? Rin peers at it. She doesn't think she saw this blend in the kitchen before, but barring that:]

A peace offering?

[That's the thing she focuses on; obviously Elda couldn't have known there was a strange smell in here before she came in, so apparently she came with the intent to bring Rin the tea from the start.]

I add enough water to cover the bacon slices. It keeps the temperature low and even so the bacon doesn't dry out.

If I can be honest...I thought that the people with magic came from a storybook. That's the only place I've ever seen magic exist in. Our lives must sound so boring, though, in comparison to yours...

[icysemblance]

No! Why would I even want to wear something like that, anyway?
