WEEK 2 Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means. No more excuses from here on out. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain? [She shakes her head, with a small frown.]

I'm only a human. Sorcerers and fairies, they can do magic - but someone like me is completely unable to do so. I wish that weren't true.

[matchbreaker]

Good, then I will!

[ She nods and she'll be scurrying off with the nail polish and these two things! and... well, she'll be back with the tea? Unless he wants it later in which case, to the room. ]

Garlic smells bad.

What about those lot? Could they pull off stuff like this?

Exactly! It's pungent and who can deal with that?! The church's worse, really.

[ SEE. Normal! She tips her hat. ]

I've never met a fairy, but... I believe a sorcerer could, if they were experienced enough. It's difficult to say. The only one I've met was an apprentice at the castle.

Mine... adds up pretty well with that too.

[A long sigh] The way this week has been, I'm beginning to think most of questions have "wait and see" answers.

Maybe I didn't really think about it that much.

[But she stops, rolling the pencil between her fingers as she considers.]

It's not like we'll just forget they're dead. But I don't think they're the last. Not even close. If people go on dying - if we have new murders to deal with - this is all going to start to seem like a distant memory. It won't be anyone's fault. People can only deal with so much.

But right now, I remember them as well as I'm ever going to. If I ever want to do this, I need to do it now.

[ She nods, okay, okay.

That's... well, it's a lot of hearsay, really. She'll go quiet and let the girl work then for a bit, as if thinking about something else. ... Or at least further on that topic. ]

[She looks at the older woman for a few moments once she falls silent, until she seems to realize she won't say anything for the time being.

At that point, she starts to work on her embroidery again; it looks as though she's starting to add a few more flowers.]

[ Ah yes, the wonderful road of murdergameship funtimes. The eventual making of bonds that can lead to friendship with others.

Yuri, on the other hand, doesn't mind the idea too much. ]

I don't, huh? Well, just between you and me, I'm actually wearing a mask and underneath it I'm actually one of those grandmothers in disguise. I bet you didn't see that coming.

[ ...And then Yuri took the joke and ran with it, because of course he did. ]

Ahh, what can I do then? I cannot refuse grandmother-food, that would be impolite.

Though I must say, you look quite well for a grandmother. Have you been taking beauty tips from Mrs. Marker?

We may not perform precisely the same careers in our homes, but... I agree. That kind of thing is fascinating indeed.

That sounds like a good way to risk catching the disease itself.

[ She nods. Honestly... yes. That makes sense to her - it's a lot of why she wants to do something for Caren. She's not sure what that something should be... but this? Honestly, as she studies the sketch the woman finished, it's not the worst idea. Not like she knew the girl, even if she had been very impressive.

... Wow, what a negative look, though. ]

You didn't actually discuss your secrets.

[Like she made such a big deal about that when she barged in, oh my god. But this has gone in a lot of weird ways, so she's not as annoyed as she could be, and simply shrugs it off. Lightly. Her arm still hurts.]

Doesn't stop her from getting up afterwards and locking the door. Next time someone comes knocking, she's going to ask who it is before she opens the door.]

Yeah, that's pretty much what.... probably... most people thought. Its kind of wacky, yeah.

But somehow it worked and now the immune system is, uh... super prepared for certain diseases.
