WEEK 2.

WEEK 2

Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means.

No more excuses from here on out.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain?

[ . . . Okay so... ]

... So Merlin's not real? Or is he one of the five?
heritrix: (we own this town)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-09-22 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
...he actually was, I believe. Bring half-incubus and coming from an age when magic was more abundant in the world, he had an edge over modern mages, but transcended even the casters of his time.

There's no record of his death either, so it's possible he still lives to this day.
matchbreaker: (Hell Cat!)

Oh, no shit? So there's some thousands year old bearded guy going out there to seduce people now?

[ Huh. ]
heritrix: (stardust)

Who knows? But it seems unlikely. Such a powerful person would attract strange things to them like a magnet if they were still along us, so he's probably withdrawn from the affairs of mankind.

Either way, it's not relevant to us.

... Yeah, that's true. Just about the only way it could be was if Jericho was him or one of his sons or something or other. That Rideuax guy did seem to think that to punch through so many dimensions they had to be real scary.

[ She says this sheepishly, relenting a little bit in her questioning. ]
heritrix: (listen up class)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-09-22 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
[So Rideuax also has knowledge on this subject...? Hm. But Rin nods.]

Absolutely. It's very probable the Coordinator is on the same level as those capable of utilizing the True Magics of my world, just as wizards do. Given our presence here and the ages listed on the profiles, however, it's more likely they come from a world outside of my own. Perhaps even one where it's less of a rarity.

[ Nod, nod. ] Probably. I'm thinking I need to quiz more people down about magic this and that, it's why I came in the in the first place.
heritrix: (moment of truth)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-09-23 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
[Rin actually seems to relax at this. Or if not completely relaxed, she looks less tense.]

So you're doing research.

matchbreaker: (Jokes it's not Zelda)

That's a pretty grand way to put, really. When it comes down to it, I'm going around sating my curiosity.

[ She laughs that off, but then leaps off the bed. Her landing is almost completely silent. She dusts herself off. ]

Well, let's let your recover.
heritrix: (bored now)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-09-23 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
You didn't actually discuss your secrets.

[Like she made such a big deal about that when she barged in, oh my god. But this has gone in a lot of weird ways, so she's not as annoyed as she could be, and simply shrugs it off. Lightly. Her arm still hurts.]

But I don't feel much up to it right now. Just close the door on your way out. [...] And thank you for the tea.
matchbreaker: (On to the new ones!)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-09-23 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
Oh.

[ . . . Uh- ]

The running water thing's fake, and crosses don't burn us.

[ Nailed it.

But yes, she's going to the door after this and ... leaving ]
heritrix: (hehehe)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-09-23 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
[.....pfft. She'll never admit it to Elda's face, but that actually made Rin smile after she left.

Doesn't stop her from getting up afterwards and locking the door. Next time someone comes knocking, she's going to ask who it is before she opens the door.]
