In sharp contrast to her easy-going behavior earlier in the week, Rin has been stern and serious ever since the incentive was given yesterday. A week ago, she determined any escape attempts would be impossible, but she's doubling back on that now. Going from room to room, she hasn't been engaging with anyone, choosing instead focus on whatever task she has at hand.
After a visit to the game room to see what that secret passage Cabanela found is all about, today Rin's efforts are focused in the library. She's taking books off their shelves one at a time, fanning through the contents for anything that might fall out before returning them back to their shelves and starting with the next book. The further she continues without finding what she's after, she only looks more frustrated.
Eventually she gives up the ghost in the library, leaving unfulfilled. Her other searches throughout the day fare no better, and she can feel her mood souring further. What else hasn't she tried? Could there be something in that machine that could help? Well, she did get some coins recently... To the vending machine it is, then.
...And if this were any other time, she'd be reallyhappy withher haul? The weapons she hides straight away, but the rest is kind of fascinating. Sure, there are some decidedly strange things among the mix (what's with the turnips? or this wig?), but there are also gold bars and a variety of gems that would be quite useful to her, if she could just utilize her magecraft. They're swiftly hidden away as well.
More valuable than any of those, much to Rin's shock she also finds this. For a long time, she can be found sitting on the ground with the rest of her haul spread around her, between a wall and one side of the vending machine, the crystalline horse figure in the palm of her hands. The expression on her face as she regards it is like that of a person viewing a well-loved photograph; it's hard to tell what she's feeling, but there's a warmth and tenderness in her eyes, the depth of which words can't explain.
Feel free to encounter her there, or collect your stuff if there's anything you recognize. It looks like she got something of Kirei's. If he doesn't run into her first, she'll track him down later to return it to him. Almost everything else is going into the shark sleeping bag to be carted back to her room.
Everything but a certain radio she also got, that is. When it crackles to life as she messes around with it, playing old rag-timey tunes, Rin can't help but get her hopes up. It's not getting a signal from the outside, but she doesn't know that. As a result, she can be found walking about the building trying to tune it to get a clearer signal. Wait, was that morse code? Ugh, she lost it—!]
