RESISTANCE MEETING

[The clock chimes at 10PM as it always does, and if you're one of the people who decided to go to the meeting, you'll find the conference room is properly set up to accommodate all 27 remaining students. If you were expecting refreshments or anything then tough luck. Logan can't cook and the kitchen's closed now.

Logan has taken the chair at one end of the table because of course he has, but he'll wait until most people are gathered before speaking up.]

I'm sure you're all aware of why this meeting is absolutely necessary after that... announcement. What we need to do is share any information we have about this place and our captor. The Conductor will answer letters, but I have not gotten anything particularly useful from him.

Getting answers from the Conductor sounds a lot like trying to get blood from a stone. But I've been keeping inventory in the storage room every day since we've got here, except for the very first one. Recently, I'm keeping track of everything in the infirmary, too; if anyone takes anything from either of those places, I'd appreciate if you would let me know, so I don't have to hunt you down.

As for the library, I can't make heads or tails of any of the stuff in it. From what I can tell just by combing through the non-fiction stuff I've read so far, there's nothing all that informative about the world we're in now, assuming, of course, we've all found ourselves in another world entirely.

...Also, whoever brought us here, he knows German.

[Dio had a peculiar disposition on this (and in fact any other) night; he moved with something that wasn't so much arrogance as it was the unshakable belief that he simply belonged wherever he was at the current moment, and damn anyone that said otherwise. His disposition was no less than that of someone who owned the world and all things in it. So he took a chair like it was an ornate throne, crossing one leg over the other and leaning his head lightly on a bandaged right hand.]

I question the wisdom of doing this in presumable plain sight of the Conductor himself, but then again our options are limited in that regard.

[Let's not comment on why there may be a pile of splinters brushed off to the side, or why there's one less chair in the room than there was when the floor was first unlocked.]

...I've not seen anything of use in the library either. More than that, I haven't seen anything I even recognize.

We can line the walls with somethin' to block out the sound, in case he's usin' hidden mics. [It's...a big room; they'd need a lot of blankets.]

Two things: the Conductor doesn't know about some things and he grants the most arbitrary requests.

[Ashley's here with a lot of red yarn. Also wearing a new beanie get used to it, because she's never going to be without a hat for the rest of her time here. She's looking marginally better than she had been the day before-- seems Susan's right, her skin will heal on its own.]

I got something. I've talked about it a little with some of you, but...the Conductor didn't take us himself. He "received" us from someone. I tried to ask him more about it, but all he would say is that the circumstances are "complicated" and irrelevant to our "circumstances." He claims he had nothing to do with our injuries too, and...I don't know, I'm starting to think whoever he's working with or for didn't either.

Sure, if you got somethin' thick enough to soundproof 'em. Cloth from the sewin' room won't be enough to do anythin', we need bedsheets.

He didn't seem aware of my injuries. I find that preeeetty surprising, but given the age of the medicine I was given, I'm not sure what to think of it. It works just fine, it was just old-fashioned.

It begs the question: how could someone who brought all of us here not be aware of things like that?

[Rakka's in her uniform, with newly added wing holes for comfort. She's also chewing on a sweet roll she grabbed from her room. Cinnamon bread! she swallows it quickly enough.]

Oh! I got something from the Conductor! I sent him a couple of letters, and he gave me another pillow to sleep with when I asked for it. But, it only came to me after the trial a few days ago.

Uhh, also. When we first woke up here, and the Conductor was talking to us, he told me that he doesn't know what I am either. [Probably not the most helpful thing ever, but who knows.]

It probably doesn't have to do with murder, just so everyone knows.

I talked to the Conductor about it, and he claimed not to know how that happened. I'm suspicious, though.

He said that he doesn't know how you got the injuries you have, right? And he told me that whoever fucked around with my body is inaccessible to him right now.
