WEEK 1.
You may not have learned much about the Coordinators (besides how unhelpful they are), but one thing's for sure: there's no way out of here. It seems like you're stuck here for the time being and the rules the Coordinators told you about are still hanging in every room. You'll be left to your own devices now - feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Participants for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge. Every morning at exactly 7AM the clock in the foyer will chime, welcoming you to a brand new day here in Graceside Preparatory Academy. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear the clock chime no matter what room you're in. There isn't a punishment for sleeping in, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you? (Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.) |
MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week one of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Alena!]
ballroom;
So he would have come back in here eventually anyway, after he's spent some time generally trying to keep his mind off of things, but the sound of someone in here is...interesting; it's not a deterrent at all, granted, if anything it's just kind of making him wonder who's singing in here -
Ah. Hi, Sayaka - you're rather good at this, surely you don't mind if he doesn't...exactly make his presence known immediately but just stays over here by the door, do you...]
no subject
That was okay, but it still needs work. Could've done a little better on the bridge, though I think I've got everything else perfect now...I'll take it from the top again.
[Once she's done with that, she looks around the room again and--oh!]
Woah--Kimblee-san! I didn't expect to see you here!
[...She doesn't admittedly mind, though, and after the shock wears off, there's a bit of a chuckle.]
If I'd known that I was going to get an audience, I would've tried to be a little louder!
no subject
[...Not like he didn't just...give you commentary anyway...]
Is that something to do with your particular talent that you mentioned yesterday, or just a hobby?
no subject
[It's probably not that late, but Sayaka clasps her hands on her lap and nods.]
Oh, it's my talent! Back home, I'm an Idol--I'm technically one of the five girls who sings in my group, but I've been at it for about...four years now? Not counting the couple years of practice I had to do, just to get in the door.
no subject
[What the...hell is that, I mean he can figure out part of it from context, but- ]
So idols are singers and musicians, then? You'll have to forgive me for being unfamiliar with the term, Amestris doesn't really have such things. At least not by that sort of name.
no subject
But yeah, that's basically it! I think the best way to describe us is like...we're sort of training to go on our own one day, and pursue our own careers. Does that make sense?
[She at least wants to be conscious of that, which is why she asks.]
no subject
So for the time being, you sing in a group... But once you've progressed far enough in that endeavor, you can have your own career, while having already established yourself enough within the profession for that to be a lucrative move. Something like that?
no subject
Yes, that's it! It helps build you up so you can leave the metaphorical nest. Your success after that really depends on the fanbase you've built up over time, and just how memorable or talented you are on your own two feet.
no subject
That sounds absolutely fascinating, even if it's not a process we have - but then, we don't seem to have the same options as a good amount of you seem to. Nothing to complain about, just a difference that I've noticed.
no subject
Are many of the industries where you come from not doing well, Kimblee-san? [Sayaka tilts her head a bit, in curiosity.] Or is it simply a matter of amount...?
no subject
[He doesn't sound judgmental, for what it's worth, merely stating facts.]
The industries we do have are far simpler than what most people here seem to be experiencing - Amestris is very rural for the most part, and what isn't rural is either heavily militarized or up near the mines. We do have merchants and trade work, some of it highly specialized... But for the most part our options lie in cows, coal, or conscription.
no subject
But at the same time, the way he speaks about Movies...that's interesting. Huh.]
I think I'm seeing what you mean. But I hope you can forgive a slightly weirder question--what year is it, where you come from?
no subject
It's...1915, I believe? My sense of time isn't the best, I'll admit, but the year just turned over, it's winter. Why?
no subject
...There's...definitely something at play here, then. It's 2010, back where I come from. And Summer, to boot.
[That's. Um. Wonderful! Simply wonderful.]
It at least makes a little more sense, about why things are so different...?
no subject
[You can't possibly be serious, what on earth - ]
Well... I'd say so, yes.
no subject
Kimblee-san, are you going to be okay? ...Do you need to take a seat for a moment?
[She is being done a concern, man.]

[...She was a bit enthusiastic, let's dial that down--]
We still have trains too, but horses...I don't believe I've really ever seen any of those around anymore unless they're for some kind of ride attraction. I assume they must be very reliable for you all.
no subject
How has your automail progression been, if you still use it...?
no subject
[...nailed it]

[...So yeah, they have fully functional cyborg limbs in 1915.]
