WEEK 1.

WEEK 1

You may not have learned much about the Coordinators (besides how unhelpful they are), but one thing's for sure: there's no way out of here. It seems like you're stuck here for the time being and the rules the Coordinators told you about are still hanging in every room. You'll be left to your own devices now - feel free to continue exploring and getting to know your fellow Participants for the next several days. Should you want to eat something you're free to use the kitchen before 10PM, but after that the doors will be locked and no amount of fussing with the locks or trying to break them down will get them to budge.

Every morning at exactly 7AM the clock in the foyer will chime, welcoming you to a brand new day here in Graceside Preparatory Academy. This will happen every morning at 7AM and again in the evenings at 10PM. You'll be able to hear the clock chime no matter what room you're in. There isn't a punishment for sleeping in, but you don't want to waste the day in bed, now do you?

(Unless you were out exploring all last night. In which case, go back to bed, damn.)

PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 35

MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week one of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Alena!]

Laundry Room

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-09-13 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
It's a washing machine. For clothes? You put them in, and it does the wash for you.

[She's not really sure how high-level this explanation needs to be.]
bloodbiter: (forearms so meaty i could feed)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2017-09-13 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
[She gives a nod.]

I see. So it eliminates the need for a basin, essentially? It sounds as though it's very convenient.
ninehundredlives: ([ sleepless nights ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-09-13 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
Better than hand-washing. And then you put them in the other one to dry them.

[...hmmm, maybe she should have explained in more detail after all. Basins.]
bloodbiter: (you do not fuck with a man that knows)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2017-09-14 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[She tilts her head.]

How do they dry if they're in an enclosed space like that?
ninehundredlives: ([ you are my star ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-09-15 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
Heat. There's...heating coils or something inside. The clothes are warm when they come out, it...can be nice.
bloodbiter: (what are you watching?)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2017-09-15 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
[She gives a nod.]

Like a flame that doesn't burn? Someone mentioned the oven functions in the same way. It seems very interesting to me.
ninehundredlives: ([ it's all in your head ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-09-15 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. It won't burn anything unless it breaks, usually. You have to clean out the lint - in this part on the front - or that might ignite.
bloodbiter: (i'm the only one who can walk)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2017-09-15 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
I wonder how long it took to develop such a thing... It seems completely different from anything I've seen. Are they very common where you come from?
ninehundredlives: ([ how this will end ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-09-15 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, if you live in a house. Most flats have one in the building somewhere, or else you have to go to a laundromat. That's somewhere with a bunch of them, where you go and pay to use them.

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2017-09-15 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
You have to pay to clean your clothing? That seems like it would be inconvenient.
ninehundredlives: ([ knock knock ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-09-15 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
[Shrug]

It is. But there isn't much for it, unless you want to do it in a sink.
bloodbiter: (i don't know who ate their popcorn)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2017-09-15 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
Did you have one of these devices in your home, then, or did you have to use one of these laundromats you speak of?
ninehundredlives: ([ cheat ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-09-15 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
There was one in the basement. I live in a flat - it's a set of rooms you rent in a bigger building full of them. They don't usually have individual laundry, unless they're bigger.
bloodbiter: (pic#10914790)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2017-09-15 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
I see. Did you enjoy living in that sort of environment?
ninehundredlives: ([ show it to ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-09-15 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
Not at all, really.
bloodbiter: (you cannot save my bacon)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2017-09-15 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
[A pause.]

I am sorry to hear that. Do you have any way to relocate?
ninehundredlives: ([ alone soaked in rain ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-09-15 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
I was in the middle of trying to before this. But it didn't seem like it was going to work out anyway. And now, it really doesn't matter.
bloodbiter: (i'm the only one who can walk)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2017-09-15 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
But it will matter when we all leave this place, won't it?
ninehundredlives: ([ the lamb ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-09-15 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
It'll matter if my rent's overdue, and they've thrown all my things out on the street.

[Yeah...that's a problem she hasn't paid much mind to, given everything here, but it definitely is one.]
bloodbiter: (you think me the fuck sensei?)

[personal profile] bloodbiter 2017-09-15 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
The people you live with would do such a thing?
ninehundredlives: ([ wookie noise ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-09-15 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
They're my landlords, not my friends. I pay for the room, and if I'm not paying, they're going to want to make room for someone who will.

Oh, I'm sure they'd call the police about it, too. Just as much to have me thrown out properly as to see if I'm lying dead in a ditch somewhere.
