Looks like this will be a weekly thing
[This whole week has been awful. This whole experience has been awful. Mordecai wants to go straight to his room and deal with his frustrations, but that's not what a mayor does. A mayor takes charge, a mayor fixes what's wrong, a mayor makes things better. Even if he can't do everything on his own, he's has to do something.
Two hours after the end of the trial, the living will find another note slipped underneath their doors.]
There's cookies in the kitchen. The dining room is ready for anyone who needs a quiet place to talk it out. I'll be in the bar if you need a drink, alcoholic or something more appropriate for the underage crowd.
-Mordecai Benmont Jiminy
[There's a pile of warm chocolate chip cookies in the kitchen. Two more candles are lit at the memorial - one for the victim, one for the culprit - and Mordecai has left a pile of blankets from the storage room on one of the dining room tables.]

Hey, Sol. Can I come in?

...yeah, her eyes are definitely red. Who can blame her? It looks like the room behind her is a disaster, too, but she wordlessly opens the door and stands aside to let Yuuri in. While her room is pretty cluttered in the sense that she doesn't seem to feel a need to tidy things - her bed isn't even made - it's not like she's throwing things everywhere for the hell of it - at least, not usually. The desk chair is on its side as though she kicked it over, which she...you know, did.
There are even some decorations. Some toys are on the desk, from the machine, as well as a jar of star sand...that sort of thing. Pinned above the desk is more weirdly a sheet of paper with several cross outs that seem to be done at different times; the end result that is the only thing not scribbled out currently reads 6,084,240. ]
Hey.

Since he doesn't want Sol to feel like he's examining every little thing in her room, Yuuri tries not to pay attention to much else. Although, he does notice the paper above her desk, but doesn't do more than give it a small glance.
There's a small pause, since he has no idea what to say. What do you even tell someone who just lost their twin? ]
...If there's anything you want to talk about, you can tell me. [ He doesn't want to bring up her sister right off the bat, not when she might not even want to talk about it at all. Normally Yuuri just goes with the first thoughts to pass through his mind, but he knows he should be careful with his words for now. ]

Luna was the moon to her sun. The world's never going to stop being off kilter now. ]
I...I don't even know what to fuckin' say. She's...she's gone, you know? We've been through...we've been through so much shit and we've always come out of it together, so I never even thought...I didn't consider...
[ People warned her all the time, but the idea of her or Luna dying without the other just...never computed.
It still doesn't. ]

It doesn't feel real, does it? [ None of this feels real, actually. He still sometimes expects to wake up in the morning in his room, with all of this being a messed up dream. ]

She's...always been there. Always. I don't remember a time we weren't together. And we lived - it was a fuckin' prison, and we've been through wars, and this, this is what kills her? Game night with someone we both liked.

[ It's weird, how life can work. ]

...I'm really sorry, Sol.

[ ...okay we're just going to start crying now ]

It's not your fault. We can't always protect everyone, even if we try our hardest. [ Which, before coming here, is something Yuuri never would have said but. A lot has happened since then. ]

[ Her twin, her other half. ]
She was - she was my entire family, Yuuri - how'm I meant to do anything now?!
no subject
[ And he's really determined to make sure she doesn't. ]
no subject
[ But she doesn't even know where to start. They're losing people way more quickly than she ever expected. ]
We're losin' people so fast. We haven't saved even one person.
no subject
I mean, this can't keep going for much longer, right? We'll manage to find a way out.

At least other people here have people to go back to. Right? ]
...Even if you're not close, I don't think...he should have to lose his little brother, so...so, for that reason...
[ So no one else had to feel the way she does right now. ]
...I'll try my best. Yuuri.
no subject
I'll try my best too. I'm here for you, so don't forget that. [ They have to stick together here! ]
no subject
...Thanks. No matter what, we...we definitely can't kill anyone. And make everyone go through another trial...this time, definitely - we all need to work together and stop this.
no subject
You're right. We just have to get ourselves organized and find some other way out of this.
