RESISTANCE MEETING 3: I'M ALREADY OUT OF WITTY TITLES
[Last week we didn't hold a meeting like this, so there's two weeks' worth of information to catch up on. Logan has some stuff with him today, so that's a little different, but as usual there's no refreshments provided and the kitchen is closed by the time this meeting is scheduled to start.
Logan can't seem to keep still for once; he's pacing around and flipping through a knockoff version of On Stranger Tides. It seems like he's just looking at one passage though, and it's never very long before he snaps the book shut.
On the table is a large stack of paper and several pens as well as... petitions? Petitions. Logan's grabbed every single one from the refrigerator and left them all here. Below the stack of petitions is a note with unique handwriting. He thinks he knows who wrote it, which isn't doing anything to lessen his agitation any.
Once the majority of the remaining Participants are here, Logan begins to speak.]
I found something in the library yesterday. [He indicates the note on the table.] I have already drawn my own conclusions about it, but I wish to see if I was correct in matching that handwriting.
Given today's incentive and what we learned during the last trial, I believe we have much to discuss. If you've found anything, speak up.
[Keeping anything hidden now won't do us any good.]

[Guess who has dealt with way too many ghosts already.]
no subject
Exactly. I found a note from Reaver in this book, which shouldn't be possible. He... died before we had access to the library.
no subject
Ghosts can preform "tricks" to manipulate the world around them. Writing a letter wouldn't be too difficult, with something like that.

And relighting them when they go out?
[I MEAN NOT THAT HE TERRIFIED HIMSELF WITH THAT YESTERDAY OR ANYTHING]
no subject
I don't think there are limits exactly. Or if there are, I don't remember them.
Maybe they've been watching the trials, too-- it would explain why the candles suddenly appeared.
no subject
[okay, on the one hand, this is sort of terrifying
...on the other, he really hopes he was putting out candles and reaver was lighting them again because that's hilarious]
no subject
[Maybe they're in the meeting right now.

[...He knows Logan reads a lot. Logan was looking for something that would remind him of Albion and this book in particular sounds like Reaver's pirate years--
oh.]

[What is he supposed to feel about that. He has no idea. He just feels really numb right now.]
no subject
I suppooose that makes it clear you're dealing with the real thing, then.

The note is uh. Very obviously Reaver's.]
If you need to compare it to how his writing normally sounds, I do have his autobiography. It's exactly as it should be though. There isn't any way it could be faked.
[Though you probably don't want to read that, um.]
no subject
It's not addressed to you or anything of that soort, but it does seem like it was meant to be found by you, doesn't it?
[He hands it back, naturally.]
no subject
[He takes it back, looking it over again before shaking his head and placing it back in the book.]
Regardless, we do need to find a way to communicate with them. I...
[have so much I need to say]
It would be for the best if we could communicate regularly.
no subject
[uh]
Keeping himself busy looking for a way to kill that shadow creature.
[That was a terrible save, but you know what, it was all he could think of.]
There muuust be a way to do it.
Maybe the library is the safest bet.
no subject
[We tried. Oh god did we try.]
For now that's what we can attempt to do. I suppose we need to decide what information to pass along, assuming they're not aware of everything happening here.

[ look at her, saying the thing for logan! ]
And if it doesn't work immediately, we need to keep trying! Who knows how many attempts they made that didn't work, after all?
no subject
That's very true.
[Have they been trying to get in contact with everyone since Kaneki and Reaver died? That's... really depressing, honestly.]
We need to let them know that we received their messages.
[...]
I'm not sure what to say.
[He could talk to Ashley without a problem, but Reaver...]
no subject
But... that's faded. I think I'll start with telling him I miss him, that I wonder about how he'd react every time we get new things, and see how it goes from there.
