RESISTANCE MEETING 3: I'M ALREADY OUT OF WITTY TITLES

[Last week we didn't hold a meeting like this, so there's two weeks' worth of information to catch up on. Logan has some stuff with him today, so that's a little different, but as usual there's no refreshments provided and the kitchen is closed by the time this meeting is scheduled to start.

Logan can't seem to keep still for once; he's pacing around and flipping through a knockoff version of On Stranger Tides. It seems like he's just looking at one passage though, and it's never very long before he snaps the book shut.

On the table is a large stack of paper and several pens as well as... petitions? Petitions. Logan's grabbed every single one from the refrigerator and left them all here. Below the stack of petitions is a note with unique handwriting. He thinks he knows who wrote it, which isn't doing anything to lessen his agitation any.

Once the majority of the remaining Participants are here, Logan begins to speak.]

I found something in the library yesterday. [He indicates the note on the table.] I have already drawn my own conclusions about it, but I wish to see if I was correct in matching that handwriting.

Given today's incentive and what we learned during the last trial, I believe we have much to discuss. If you've found anything, speak up.

[Keeping anything hidden now won't do us any good.]

It's not addressed to you or anything of that soort, but it does seem like it was meant to be found by you, doesn't it?

...I would have imagined he'd sound far more furious if it was meant for me specifically, but what are the odds anyone else here would pick this specific book?

[He takes it back, looking it over again before shaking his head and placing it back in the book.]

Regardless, we do need to find a way to communicate with them. I...

It would be for the best if we could communicate regularly.

Keeping himself busy looking for a way to kill that shadow creature.

[That was a terrible save, but you know what, it was all he could think of.]

There muuust be a way to do it.

Maybe the library is the safest bet.

For now that's what we can attempt to do. I suppose we need to decide what information to pass along, assuming they're not aware of everything happening here.

At the very least, a "are you aware of everything that's going on?" would clear that up, wooouldn't it?

I desperately hope it works, I have so much I need to tell him!

[ look at her, saying the thing for logan! ]

And if it doesn't work immediately, we need to keep trying! Who knows how many attempts they made that didn't work, after all?

[Have they been trying to get in contact with everyone since Kaneki and Reaver died? That's... really depressing, honestly.]

...You know, me neither! If it had been a month ago, this would have been much easier, I wanted to shout at him and scold him so badly!

But... that's faded. I think I'll start with telling him I miss him, that I wonder about how he'd react every time we get new things, and see how it goes from there.

...He would have been very fond of the shooting range.

[It's not much, but you know what, it's a start. Logan doesn't exactly look pleased and he can't look at Youko, but he's trying.]

Learning how to shoot from Reaver could have been amazing, if he'd have been willing to teach me.

[ SIGHING WISTFULLY. Maybe she shouldn't push it so soon, but... ]

Where do you think he'd spend more time: there, or the bar?

He wasn't very fond of teaching, but perhaps he would have made an exception.

[It's not like you can be any worse than Logan!!]

...I would say the shooting range, but he showed up to one of my hearings completely hung over once. It was exactly as much of a disaster as you'd imagine.

[He's clearly trying to sound annoyed, but it doesn't quite reach it. If anything, Logan sounds more fond of that memory than he should. It really was a disaster.]

Having never seen him hungover, I would have loved to witness this.

...It might have been amusing if he hadn't been arguing the side I was going to choose.

[It was a complete disaster. It involved a hippie and Reaver's argument consisting entirely of the Reaver-equivalent of "oh my god". Worst day ever.

That's why he looks so amused, of course.]

Aww. Well, I'm sure you became a stronger and better king for it! It doesn't seem like a bad memory, judging by your expression...

...Well, I gave up on holding hearings after that, so I suppose some good did come of it.

It was horrible. I had to call a recess for several days to recover from the embarrassment.

[Reaver and Logan's other adviser, Sir Walter, both went out drinking. It was days. It was terrible.

...Okay, it was pretty funny, looking back on it.]

I have never been more humiliated in front of a room full of people. My sister was there. She never sits in on hearings. It was awful.

[He says, while trying really goddamn hard not to smirk.]

Oh no. Oh noooooo. [ SORRY, SHE NEEDS TO GIGGLE SOME MORE ] It sounds like he put on a show just for you!

Absolutely not. He was staring at the floor towards the end when I dismissed everyone to prevent him from saying anything else stupid and when I attempted to talk to him he asked me when I'd had the floors redone. It was at least ten years ago.

[DRAMATIC SIGH]

It was a nightmare.

Then I absolutely need to tease him about this if we get to talk again.

I doubt he'd be very appreciative of that.

He is endearing in his own unique way.

Then I must do it. He seems like the sort of person who'd be hard to annoy if he knew that's what you were trying to do, you know?
