[ The ballroom's a little swanky for a simple get-together like this, but...

Well, actually, judging by what you see when you come in at the appointed time (or even before that, but Aligula'll be huffy if you do!?), what was advertised is not exactly what's going on. Continuing her war on paper, Aligula's put up origami hearts (or her attempts at them; she got better as she figured out what she was doing, but they're not the best) pretty much everywhere. There's also sheets taped to every wall with encouraging things in her curly-cute script like GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER! and FIND A PARTNER! and WELCOME TO SPEED-DATING!

...Yeah, welcome to speed-dating.

There's a lot of chairs paired together, presumably for the whole "partnering up" thing, and everyone anywhere near the ballroom will be getting a sheet of questions titled SUGGESTED TALKING POINTS. There at least seems to be food like she promised? At least... there's signs pointing to the dining room across the wall to suggest it, and entering the dining room gets you hot chocolate (and water, if you're boring, as well treating you to the sight of a parfait bar, with various cups and glasses to stand in for actual parfait glasses. There's also things for making sandwiches—she pretty much grabbed whatever she could think of from the fridge and such—and of course, plates and utensils and etc.

And if none of that's appetizing then, like, kitchen's not that far, go make something yourself. She put a lot of work into this whole thing but especially the parfait bar because she loves parfait and everyone can have fun making those.

If you don't think your character would've come without a little help, don't worry; even if Aligula can't bodily drag everyone, she sure can bother them aggressively until they come just to get her to leave them alone. All in all, don't sweat the small stuff and have a good time getting to know each other! Or go sulk and play the piano, whatever. ]

I...can't really describe it? I don't understand what was really happening, just...things were happening that weren't supposed to be...happening. Like, weird shapes in the sky- uh, cave, and weird voices.

Strange shapes in the sky? Do you mean constellations...?

[She frowns at the rest, though.]

What were the voices telling you?

No, like...it was a triangle. Just a green triangle, out of nowhere. They were asking...if "leave was possible" and saying weird things, like...bobtail and- um, sleepy...time gal. It was put together from radio broadcasts.

[ She sounds...rather unnerved by it all, but there's nothing to do here about it. ]

...It sounds like an incredibly strange experience.

[And she doesn't even know what a radio broadcast is.]

And you have not discovered their meaning as of yet?

...I blacked out a few moments after. There was this light...and what sounded like an explosion.

And I woke up here.

...I see. There's nothing else you recall after the sound of the explosion?

[A frown, more concerned than disbelieving.]

[ ... ]

No. Everything fades to white.

Perhaps they brought you here after you were knocked out for some reason, then.

...Probably, yeah.

[A beat, but then:]

I believe it's my turn to ask you something once more, if I may.

Oh. Oh, right, yeah- go ahead.

[bloodbiter]

[A small pause, while she reads over the list.]

If you could live anywhere, where would you choose?

[ Ah... ]

I, uh...actually don't know. I don't...have a real preference. Kinda boring, right?

[bloodbiter]

I don't think that's boring! I think it's exciting, actually. If you're uncertain what you want, that just means you still have much to discover.

You think so? ...Well, okay then, that's...reassuring to hear, honestly. Do you have one? A place you'd wanna live.

[bloodbiter]

[She nods.]

I'll still live in the castle when I grow older, but... I would like to travel more often, even if my home will not change.

Like where to? Traveling's always sounded kinda nice to me too.

[bloodbiter]

...I don't know. Before several days prior to arriving here, I'd never gone more than a mile or two from my home. I think I'd like to go everywhere, honestly, and see everything each place has to offer while I do.

Not a ton, but I've always liked reading about places. Especially like...wonders of the world, stuff like that.

What wonders are those?

Oh, they're like amazing buildings or constructions or...things like that, all across the globe. The Great Wall of China which is this...huge stone wall spanning a whole country. Or the Taj Mahal, a huge mausoleum a guy built to his wife.

[She nods along, with a small smile.]

They all sound lovely. I hope that in addition to reading about them, you are able to see one yourself someday.
