at the end of the river, the sundown beams
[Well...that trial was most certainly a thing, now wasn't it.
It's probably a while after the trial that some notes will be going underneath people's doors, written in a nice, clean scrawl--]
[True to the word, there's plenty of food to go around--potato stew courtesy of Estelle, and curry courtesy of Sayaka. There's coffee and tea out as well, for anyone to drink, and...well, it's more or less an optional thing. After today, some might need it.]

For anyone who hasn't gotten anything to eat, there will be food and refreshments provided in the dining room courtesy of Estelle-san and I. Feel free to take as much as you need.
Please stay strong, everyone.

Words I never thought I'd be combining: thankful and Rideaux.]
...Perhaps that's why she hates him so badly. I can hardly blame her if that's the case. [...] Not that I really want to talk to her more, after that. But maybe he was someone higher up on the food chain, then, and that's why she's down here.

It's pretty much all speculation at this point, but that wouldn't surprise me at all. He might have leverage on her.
no subject
[This is just kind of a goddamn mess, isn't it.]
...Think anyone will try again after what happened down there?
no subject
[Jericho would um. Probably not approve of it.
Rideaux's expression hardens at the question.]
Depends. If anyone tries it after this, they're going to need to have a foolproof plan. But they at least know the process now, so...it gives them the opportunity to make a foolproof plan. They also need to be willing to take the risk, which...is a rather large one.
no subject
Maybe it's the same for all of them.
Hmm. Her voice is a little quieter when she speaks up.]
It's thirty and more against one, at this point. And that's thirty some odd people who are sniffing out every possible route this could go in. But then you have people like Ganaha-san, who don't look at things realistically. If enough people go off track, we could lose easily.
At the same time, though...Caren-san was very kind in that regard. The next person won't be so.
no subject
Also damn Sayaka, just roast Hibiki. Rideaux silently agrees though, nodding along when she brings it up.]
No they won't. I imagine we will have fewer accidents from now on. If more killings happen, they will most likely be deliberate. Reckless, potentially, since as you say there are still quite a few of us to catch them.
[He's thoughtful about it.]
It's a wonder that this killing happened without anyone else catching sight of it.
no subject
...That gets a small pause out of Sayaka, though.]
...The sad part is that I was in the ballroom writing some letters, but I think I left before Caren-san or Kirstein-san had the chance to come inside. [One degree of separation at it's finest.] I didn't even see them. Perhaps there's just no way of knowing what's going to happen next, especially if people try their hardest to hide it.
[...hmm.]
We don't exactly have many rooms to hide in, either. It makes me wonder if there's more to this building than what we're seeing here, you know?
no subject
True. It may have simply been a coincidence that no one else was wandering around that night.
[As unlikely as it sounds, it obviously happened.]
You know, I wonder about that myself. This place is incredibly cramped for more than thirty people. I wouldn't be surprised if people start developing some mild to severe claustrophobia if it does stay like this.
no subject
[They'd probably have to set up some kind of rules for when Night Time hits, and goddammit Sayaka doesn't want to have to practice in the day.
Still, that claustrophobia but is something Sayaka will nod to.]
That'd be all the more incentive to try to get them all to thin our numbers more. At the same time, I wonder if they're going to try and 'reward' us for this.
no subject
..."Reward" us?
[That's an interesting theory. Rideaux leans in a bit, waiting for Sayaka to elaborate.]
no subject
Don't you think that's in line with their personalities? To give us more, so that way their game doesn't get stale.
[It's a little bit of a leap, theorywise, but it makes enough sense to her.]
that was supposed to be conform not confirm lol oops
Well, isn't that familiar.
[A proper response comes next.]
It's certainly in line with Jericho's, from what we've heard. As nice as it would be to have more to work with, it's positively annoying when you word it like that.
IT'S ALL GOOD FRIEND
...I should have thought about my wording, better, and I apologize.
[But yeah.]
I suppose we'll find out in due time, then. I could easily be wrong.
no subject
It may be annoying, but it's still better than sugarcoating it. It's fine. That said, I don't disagree with you that there may be more to this building. What sort of school would this be without classrooms and whatnot?
[Maybe murderschools don't have to follow the rules, but still.]
no subject
[Murderschools gonna murderschool, but man, they at least should keep the illusion going.]
