WEEK 2 Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means. No more excuses from here on out. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain? I dunno whether to call that smart or morbid...

['I've done way worse to myself' catches her interest, though she doesn't comment. She gives a small nod and turns her attention to the girl's work with curiosity.]

Are you normally adept at it?

You just seem like you're a little bit out of it. Then again, I think we all are today.

[She cants her head.]

Did you have a dream, too?

You think so? I mean, it could be a good way to feel a little less cramped in here. We're all wired and a little bit claustrophobic, so maybe doing a bit of a jog around might be good for some people, as long as we aren't inconveniencing anyone.

How about you, Estelle? Do you run at all?

[zomgboom]

Well, longer makes sense if you have less people. Shorter means, like, this will end before it's supposed to.

[She pauses, because she's not sure if this next thing is in bad taste or not but also.]

So, like, I don't think they planned for something like yesterday.

[firstaid]

Ah, I apologize if this is an unnecessary distraction from what we're doing, but did anyone else have some sort of bizarre, unbelievably vivid dream after the weekend, or was that limited to only a lucky few of us?

I suppose the content of it doesn't matter if you aren't inclined to share, but I imagined it was worth asking - I know I did, and so did a few others here. Is this a consistent pattern, or...?

This is old people we're talking about. The only thing they had going on was, uh... hula hoops and playing cards.

Not even a little, if we're being honest. But I figured I'd try and live up to my title a bit and give it a shot, as long as I have it in front of me and I don't have much better to do. I have classes for it in school...

[ But that said... ]

But when it comes to, like, homely stuff? I tend to botch things like that.

Blue and Kyrie helped a bit, but I'm still trying to figure it out for myself.

A dark, volcanic wasteland ruled by evil. One does not simply walk into Mordor, 'cause its black gates are guarded by orcs and other terrible things.

Yes, I did. It was vivid, and - strange in other ways as well.

Did they, like, explain how we don't have powers? [She didn't even think to ask that one.] Anyway, that's something they'd have to, like, motivate us to participate. You know, like the thing Germicho said earlier.

[That is something she definitely has experience with: power upgrades being dangled in front of her as an incentive.]

Do you mind if I ask how, or is that personal...?

A few people I've spoken with had vivid dreams last night. I wondered if we saw the future, but when I discussed it with Mr. Kimblee, he think it was the past he saw. Susan had a dream also where she woke up in a hospital after being in her accident.

[She's not saying anything about her dream, instead discussing other's... which maybe she shouldn't, but whatever.]

...Well, yeah, now that you mention it. But I'd assume a lot of us would be freaked out after that whole... mess.

[introspects]

[ that smile...orihime frowns deeper. she'd seen how sayaka ran off to her room. ]

Are you sure you're okay?

A while ago, you asked about any physical changes we didn't recognize. I told you there were scars on my legs I didn't recognize... The dream I had would seem to explain how they came to be.

[firstaid]

I don't really run, but I'm also used to being indoors like this. Then again, back at the castle, I at least got to go out into the courtyard at times before I escaped.

[So her cabin fever isn't nearly as bad as everyone else's.]

[zomgboom]

Yeah, a dinosaur was, like, telling me his grand villain plan about wiping out humans or whatever because a monkey made fun of him once and he was, like, really bitter about it or whatever. It was stupid.

[You know, a perfectly normal fucking thing to dream about.]
