WEEK 2.
Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means. No more excuses from here on out. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain? |

[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Alena!]

She had spent the day with a good book in the conference room, but as nice of an atmosphere as it was to read in, it didn't exactly have a fridge, or anything that could stop her stomach from growling. That said, once she hears the singing, she opts to grab something quick from the kitchen, instead. The thought of taking too long making a meal and missing her...well, she'd rather catch her, before she leaves.
Chitoge doesn't interrupt her singing. As a matter of fact, she doesn't even make her presence known outright. As boisterous as she can be, even she has the good sense to keep her mouth shut when someone's in the middle of singing. She leans her back against the doorway with a cup of tea in hand, and waits for her to wrap up. ]

She'll get done with her singing in fair order, though; she's happy for the chance to practice, and doesn't seem any the wiser to Chitoge nearby as she talks to herself.]
Hmhm! That was a good warm-up, definitely. I think I've got everything down that I want to, as well. Maybe I could improve the cadence just a bit more, but it's better. Much better...

[ If her dream...memory? Whatever it was, if that was anything to go off of, the difference between their voices was night and day. Even if it was just exercises, there was a tone to her sound that didn't strike her as something that would come from an idol's music. For some reason, she always associated that sort of J-pop sound with autotuned vocals and synthesized instruments, but Sayaka's vocals are perfectly respectable in their own right. Far exceeded what Chitoge could do herself, if given a microphone.
She can't help but speak up, but she doesn't approach just yet, content to hang back by the doorway. ]
I can see why that crowd of a couple hundred went nuts.
no subject
[That...gets a bit of a jolt from Sayaka, before she...giggles a bit.]
I swear, none of you have any confidence in your voices...but thank you. I like to think that all of the work I've put in has helped to make it sound good.
[...]
You don't have to stay in the doorway forever, you know.
no subject
[ But she does approach, if only to hand the cup of tea up to Sayaka. It should be cool enough, now, that it won't burn if she takes a sip or two to soothe her throat. ]
It doesn't help that all the songs I'd like to sing are way out of my vocal range. But I guess what you do is just like working out any other muscle.
no subject
Ah, have you tried to find something within your range...? Perhaps you'd have fun with karaoke, if you did. I don't think it's nearly that bad, but that's exactly it. You don't get better if you don't practice.
no subject
[ If there were windows here, though, she's positive they'd shatter instantly, like in some dumb cartoon-- ]
Do you know Guns and Roses?
no subject
[...As for the band, hm.]
I recognize the name, at least. It's a Hard Rock band, right?
no subject
[ Hold on, let her mentally prepare herself. She taps her foot to an imaginary beat, and then... ]
Ooooh, oh, oh, sweet chiiiild o' miiiiine!
[ And she mimes the guitar solo, while she's at it. Good God, girl-- ]
Dirnt neow neowwww...
no subject
[...oh goodness god, though, that's...
That is absolutely adorable? Sayaka watches with glee, and practically presses her hands to her cheek and just...kind of squeaks when she's done.]
Oh my god, you are an absolute liar! A total liar! That was adorable!
no subject
[ But she's, at the very least, laughing at herself a tad. She can afford to make a bit of an ass of herself in Sayaka's company. And she's glad Sayaka at least found it amusing. ]
But I appreciate you humoring an amateur like me!
no subject
[Pbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbt!]
no subject
You just haven't heard enough of it yet, I swear! If you ever did karaoke with me, you'd change that opinion real fucking quick! You'll regret ever thinking that! And don't so there me, you...
[ She blows a bigger one, right back at her! ]
no subject
I'd do it in a heartbeat with you! I don't have many people to sing with in this place, you know! I don't regret a single thing at all. So--
[HAVE AN EVEN BIGGER ONE RIGHT BACK AT YOU, CHITOGE.]
There!
no subject
I'm sure that at least half the people here would sing with you, if given the chance and you asked! [ Pbbt! ] And all of them would sound better than I would! [ Pbbbbt! ] It's a miracle that we even know the same songs, given this whole weird alternate world thing, but even if we did, my terrible screeching would drown out your melody! [ Pbbbbbt! ] It'd be a terrible idea! So! [ PBBT-- ] There! [ PBBBBBbbbbbbbt... ]
...L-let me catch my breath.
no subject
No way! Honestly, you're all just too shy to take the stage, from the looks of it. And you're perfectly adorable--I bet with a little bit of training, you'd be able to join our group relatively easily, even as a new idol! You just have absolutely no confidence!
[And you know what, just to be a twit, she'll show you what singer lungs can do--she promptly takes in as much air as she can, just to give the longest raspberry she can manage!
PBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbt...bbbbt....bbbbbbt...bbt...bt...
...
Okay, now she's gotta cough a bit because wow, that took a lot out of her.]
no subject
See, now you're just showing the fuck off!
[ Somewhere in the middle, she can't help but exclaim it, but when Sayaka starts coughing-- ]
Sayaka, the tea, drink the tea!
no subject
[JUST LET HER CATCH HER GODDAMN BREATH FOR A MOMENT, MAYBE TWO MOMENTS OR SOMETHING.]
no subject
[ She gets behind her and starts patting her back with the heel of her hand, in rhythm with her coughing, just to clear her airway a little... ]
Breathe in through your nose, out through your mouth!
no subject
...She's going to take a drink of tea after settling for a few moments, before just. Shaking her head.]
Okay. So I may have miscalculated a bit.
no subject
[ But at least she's alright. Last thing we need is a body announcement because someone hacked up a lung. Death by fucking raspberry.
What a fucking way to go. ]
But regardless, you proved your point. If it means you won't choke, I could be convinced, to sing along with you. Maybe.
no subject
[That's sniped between another sip of tea, but...
That? That actually gets her eyes to light up--and practically sparkle, too.]
You'd...you'd really consider it? Really really?
no subject
And I won't make a promise, but, like I said. I could be convinced. If you pick out a good song, and you can bear with my nails on a chalkboard screeching.
no subject
[Huff!! Fern is a good influence, you butt.]
I'll have to see if I can think of anything, but mark my words! I'll find something that we can sing together!
