WEEK 2.
Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means. No more excuses from here on out. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain? |

[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Alena!]

[ ... When did she get there? It's freaky how silent Elda's footsteps can be., ]
no subject
That was some impressive stealth.
[But since you're here and you said that may as well ask?]
Act out something like what, exactly? Did you have an idea in mind already?
no subject
I don't know, maybe some old stories? Zarovich or Bathory or the like.
no subject
Zarovich...that author doesn't sound familiar. I have heard of a Bathory, but she isn't known for writing anything.
[She's known for those ridiculous rumors about her being a vampire. She may have been a brutal woman back in her time, but a vampire? Hah! Impossible]

[Kyrie stands up and browses the nearest bookshelf. There may be a book about vampires, may as well try to see why Elda's so interested in their lives]

[ . . . Eeeeh. Saved it!
Maybe! ]

It's good you like legends and that kind of stories. The past is always essential for everyone.
[Oh hey, there's a promising book here: 'Infamous Lady:The True Story of Countess Erzsébet Báthory' Kyrie seems pleased, opening the book]
I only remember this woman's name. I don't know what exactly her life was like, but I--[Her voice trails off the more she reads of the prologue. Well! Bathory sure was a rather bloody and prolific killer] ...that's...quite the story.
no subject
[ ... Oh, that sure was a reaction. If Elda wasn't short she might've tried to sneak in and look it over. as is, she just sort of keeps crouched here. ]
no subject
That's an understatement! I can see why some people called Bathory a vampire, this is very truculent. It must be because of all the blood-related rumors. For some reason people are very into linking anything about blood to vampires.
[It's a good thing real vampires are nothing like that Bathory woman was, eh?]
no subject
[ Of course not! ... Though she might've been one. Elda's legitimately not sure but most people seem to think so even in her community. There's a lot of stories about her. ]
no subject
[Augh, this is too much. You take that book about Bathory if you want, Elda, Kyrie doesn't want to read her bloody exploits anymore. She puts the book on a table]
As a whole humanity doesn't have a good track record when it's about being peaceful, and unfortunately that can't be changed. Case in point: this place.

[ She will, indeed, take the book though, sort of flipping through it. Maybe later she'll read it and compare to those stories from when she was young. After all, she did learn a great number of them. ]

[ She rolls it over on her tongue, flipping the book in her hands. ]
Actually, Ushiromiya, what do you like reading about?
no subject
[She feels much more comfortable admitting she's into mystery to Elda than to the other person she had discussed books with. Less risk of someone thinking she's enjoying what's going on.
Because she definitely isn't enjoying this situation at all.]
no subject
But that said... ]
Huh! So like Doyle and the like? I could see that being interesting... honestly, I'm not really the most well read person ever... though we do have a huge archive in the manor's basement. We managed to ship some out from Europe.
