WEEK 2.
Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means. No more excuses from here on out. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain? |

[ She tosses the apple in the air, catching it... and sighs. ]
... Well, whatever. Not like they were my kids.

[........]
I wish I knew what Hanamura was thinking. He must've known nothing good would come of attacking one of our captors.

She bites her lip, exhales, and then presses on ]
The boy was jittery the whole time. It's likely he's never been exposed to violence the like you and the others [ not her, unfortunately, she's excluding herself given how much time she wasted ] solved at the trial or we all witnessed at the execution. That sort of thing changes a person. The trauma's hard for people who have lived with it for some time to remember. It's entirely possible he just wanted to end that violence.

[......]
It was a terrible way to die. I've never seen something so awful.

[ She confesses, softly, staring at the newest candle. ]
Not before my eyes.

[He's heard stories of particular grisly murders, but never had to investigate one.]
It makes me wonder how the hell something like that is possible.

Some sort of magic, right? A handful of people here can do it normally, so if they can shut it down, they must be able to do it themselves.
no subject
[He seems to consider this for a moment.]
That's certainly a possibility. Completely out of my realm of knowledge, but like with everything else, I'm not willing to dismiss it.

[ See rin, she didn't directly out you. ]

If they can suppress that kind of power, it makes one wonder what power they have. Something more powerful than being able to break a spine without even touching the kid.

[ She says, humming a bit. ]

We're all from different worlds, with very different realities-- magic in some, Kimblee's alchemy, Tarrlok's bending... these worlds are so different, that whatever brought us here is incredible advanced. It sounds like we're looking at something that can tear reality apart, and that in itself is... more suited to fiction than real life, to be frank.

[ She frowns. ] The way he conceptualized it for me, different worlds are like floors in a building. But the difference between all our floors, for how different they are, has got to be a matter of hundreds more than a three or four. So either someone has an elevator, some really good jackhammer, or they just blew the whole damn thing up.
[ Metaphorically, of course.
That makes more sense to her. ]

[ Haha... ha. ]
I'm just doing my best with the metaphors.
