WEEK 2 Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means. No more excuses from here on out. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain? Of course not, this bed's no proper coffin. The whole thing's too soft.

[ She groans a little on it, but keeps brushing her hair. ]

More than that, I got a weird dream last night about my granddaughter failing to kiss her boyfriend. The whole thing's just positively silly.

I don't know. Honestly, the whole thing's...

[ Complicated by who the boyfriend is? Does she want to get into it...? Well, there's no one else she's going to get into with it, so... why not. ]

Maybe I've still got Carren and that brat on the mind still. Karin's been seeing this human kid... or well, she doesn't think she is, but she is. I told her that's all in fine to play around, but not to get too serious, because that's a dead end. Actually, that's the last thing I said before I went to sleep and woke up here. And now bam, some memory of them again? I guess the whole trial got me thinking about a difference in kind among species.

Ah...that could explain it. That's a bit of an odd thing to dream over...

[ahahahahahahaha she's...kind of averting her eyes at this point. But at least Elda's distracted enough with her own thoughts, so maybe she can avoid it.]

Hopefully Karin-san sees that it's not a good idea, at least. Girls like her...they're young, and kind of silly sometimes. They need someone to make sure they're still going in the right direction.

Aren't you only a year older than her? Might be a little silly for you to being agreeing with me in anything about the affairs of silly girls.

[ Like, just saying. She says it with some amusement, but. ]

Ah, that's...probably just something my managers would say. It's a force of habit.

[She'll laugh a little, at least.]

I mean, you're right, of course. But its the way of youth to resist that, not simply parrot it. You, you're far too young to be agreeing too much with an old lady like me.

[ She says this with a laugh of her own, still brushing her hair - now rounding out the ends of one of the tails. He pats it down. ... The blood packet still hasn't much touched beyond her initial examination. ]

Isn't it much easier to go along with what people want, than try to fight over it...?

Oh, for simplicity's sake, I suppose? [ She tilts her head... ] ... There are some things that are immutable. A relationship between a human and a vampire like that, it might as well be a romance between a chimpanzee and an orangutan. Sure they look a little similar, but it's absurd to imagine, right? But that doesn't mean there isn't a vague in making some mistakes when you're young, or being some amount rebellious.

[ Brush... and she finishes it off there. She seems content with the results now, fluffing it ]

I can't speak for idols, but from my own experiences, going along with everything set out for you's the path of least resistance, but it's not usually the happiest.
