WEEK 2.
Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means. No more excuses from here on out. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain? |

[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Alena!]

[There's no real hesitance in her expression given that offer, but there isn't eagerness, either.]
It wasn't particularly troubling, just strange. I don't need to speak of it to find peace of mind, but I wouldn't mind doing so if you wanted to hear.

[Sayaka's smile is soft and understanding. She doesn't want to cause Adelina discomfort.]

If you are curious, I don't mind explaining, certainly. The strangest part is... It aligns with my experiences shortly prior to coming here. It seems as though it took place right after the last thing I remember happening to me in my home.
In addition, it explains some things about the state I arrived in when I came here. There were scars I couldn't account for, and it seems to have provided an explanation for how they were accrued. But - that would mean it was a real event, rather than a dream.
no subject
[That's...huh. Sayaka purses her lips a bit in contemplation at that...]
That's so strange, though. They can't possibly have something that suppresses memories that far back--and that's if they are real, in that case. But if they're a dream, then how does it align so perfectly?
If we have another meeting, it may be a good idea to have this brought up.

I'll have to disagree slightly, though. I think with the right sort of magic, they could suppress memories that far back, if they chose to. I'm just not certain what their purpose in doing so would be.
[A small sigh.]
You needn't speak of it either if you don't choose to, but... Might I ask what you recalled, Sayaka?
no subject
[Because it'd be another thing she would be confused over and wouldn't understand, but...
...Sayaka pauses a bit, before turning away.]
...Mmm. I'd rather not speak of it, if I may be honest. It's...a lot.
no subject
[She doesn't elaborate on that, though, just nods.]
I understand. I hope I didn't bring to mind something painful.
no subject
[She laughs a little, like nothing's wrong.]
It's really fascinating, though, I have to admit that. We all have things that are such big parts of our lives, that it's...so odd, really, when other places don't have them. It's kind of strange, isn't it?
no subject
I was certain I misheard the first time someone told me they had no monsters in their world. It must have been the same the first time someone told you about magic.

Boring? Certainly not. I've learned so many things since I came here, things I would never have dreamed of. Really, I imagined the opposite would be true.

Of course. Things like microwaves and cars and showers... I had no knowledge of such things before I arrived here.

[She has to wonder, though.]
Is there anything here you've seen that's unfamiliar to you?

[sayaka, hours later: what the fuck is this sewing room even]

It doesn't seem old fashioned to me, no. But... I see what you mean. I take it there's some kind of disconnect from how old the decor feels and how old the technology contained within is, then?
