WEEK 2.

WEEK 2

Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means.

No more excuses from here on out.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain?

It is my job, so call it a force of habit.

[Working in medicine, that is.]

Were you looking for anything in particular, or did you just want to take stock as well?
blackmass: (don't want your crown)

[personal profile] blackmass 2017-09-19 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
The latter--I have what I suppose one might call medical training, but it seems we're fortunate if you've something more substantial.
evilfrenzy: (♟ really now)

[personal profile] evilfrenzy 2017-09-20 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
[The one who likes misfortune and dislikes humanity also has medical training? That's nice.

...

He can't talk, actually.]

Really? Well, good to hear. It seems we have no shortage of people who are familiar with medical treatment, even if it's varying degrees.
blackmass: (when happiness doesn't work)

[personal profile] blackmass 2017-09-20 03:54 pm (UTC)(link)
[take what you can get for assistance, we're gonna have a lotta corpses]

An astounding coincidence; I do wonder if it's that and nothing more, or if that was planned on the part of our dear hosts.
evilfrenzy: (♟ can we not)

[personal profile] evilfrenzy 2017-09-21 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
That's a good question. I have no idea, though I can't see why they would intentionally do that. Unless they expected us to be investigating a lot of bodies.

[...]

Well. I guess that could be it.
blackmass: (all your love will be exorcised)

[personal profile] blackmass 2017-09-21 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
That was exactly the purpose I had in mind, actually.
evilfrenzy: (♟ u wanna go ludger)

[personal profile] evilfrenzy 2017-09-21 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. I suppose a bloodbath isn't out of the question. Or some could be taken out in general. In that sense, it doesn't hurt to have a few around.

[...they sure are discussing it like this.]
blackmass: (wish i could fly as angels can fly)

[personal profile] blackmass 2017-09-21 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)
[yeah this is happening]

I would estimate the odds to be generally in our favor with regards to having someone capable of basic first aid for as long as possible.
evilfrenzy: (♟ let me tell you a thing)

[personal profile] evilfrenzy 2017-09-21 07:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Agreed. Understanding how the victim died is going to be integral to these trials, should they continue.

[...]

And I'm certain that any potential killers are well aware of that.
blackmass: (and run away from here)

[personal profile] blackmass 2017-09-21 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Now that we've all borne witness to the intended process, I expect anyone willing to kill for whatever reason will be cautious to cover their tracks. Which will prove quite the headache, to state the matter very lightly.
evilfrenzy: (♟ it's hard being this fashionable)

[personal profile] evilfrenzy 2017-09-22 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, absolutely. Even with another floor, this structure is still quite small for more than thirty people. They would have a high risk of running into someone during their cover-up, for one.
blackmass: (if flesh could crawl)

[personal profile] blackmass 2017-09-22 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
That does raise a fascinating quandary. How do those two expect anyone to commit murder with so many potential witnesses around? Unless, of course, they expect the witnesses disposed of as well.
evilfrenzy: (♟ height of fashion)

[personal profile] evilfrenzy 2017-09-24 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
Well, they'd certainly have to dispose of any witnesses. If they didn't, that's an instant loss. But, more crimes would lead to more evidence to cover up.

[...]

I wouldn't be surprised if they actually don't expect any successful attempts for quite some time. Should this go on, of course.

[Which, given their "deadline"...it probably will.]
