WEEK 2.
Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means. No more excuses from here on out. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain? |

[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Alena!]

Luckily, she was floating in a half-awake state when Alex knocks, and is able to pull herself together relatively quickly to roll out of bed and answer the door in short order.]
Alex; good evening. [She thinks? It's probably evening. Rin's greeting is generic and somewhat sleepy, but her expression changes a moment later, browns pinching as she gets a good look at Alex's face.] ...Are you alright?
[She looks like she's been crying.]
no subject
I just- I hadn't seen you since Friday. Wanted to see if you were okay. [ Usually people at least pass each other in the halls here, or bump into one another in the kitchen or whatnot. It comes with being in such a confined place. ]
no subject
[It's worth noting now that the door has been open for a few moments that there's a funky smell coming from Rin's room. She cleaned up a bit after Elda left so it's not as rank as it was earlier, and Alex doesn't have a super nose, but it's not a pleasant smell.]
no subject
Ah... Not like that's easy to get around here. [ Thirty-five- ...thirty-three people and all. ] Did you...have you eaten?
no subject
As for Alex's question... Rin partially turns sideways, knuckles pressed to her mouth in concentration. When did she eat last?]
no subject
...Wanna head to the kitchen for some easy-heat chicken noodle soup? Found some earlier.
no subject
...I should probably stay here.
no subject
[ It doesn't seem like Alex is letting this go, at least. ]

Plain toast would pair well with it. Actually if my appetite comes back once I start eating, toast with marmalade might be better.
[Toast is quick cook too, after all.]
no subject
Toast and soup, with marmalade on the side. Got it.
[ She'll just go and get that now, though it will...take a little, to get it all made, feel free to close the door while waiting. ]
no subject
And tea~! Earl grey, if they have it!
[The awful morning aside, today might be a good day after all. Rin closes the door behind her with a smile on her face, going to lie back down in bed. So long as she's sitting up she shouldn't fall back asleep.]
no subject
...She'll be back in...about a half-hour? Hope you're still awake, Rin. Some of that time was used to wash off her face as well, presumably.
Knocks once more. ] Open up, it's room service.
no subject
[Man she's not on the ball today, huff. Just give her a few seconds though and she'll have that door open, noting Alex's face looks a little better. She must have stopped by a bathroom or something.]
Welcome back.
no subject
Best thing for a sick day.

[Rin gestures to it, staying behind so she can close the door after Alex.]

The cup's only about 1/3 of the way full, but its contents are fairly thick for a liquid, and it's blackish-purple in color.]
no subject
Is that, uh...some homemade cough syrup recipe or something? Gotta say, wouldn't wanna put it in my body, but different strokes for different folks.
no subject
[It's worth noting both for how long they've been conversing and as this continues, Rin doesn't appear to have a cough. She's a little pale with sweat dotting her hairline, but her voice doesn't sound hoarse and her nose isn't even red.]
Could you pass it here?
no subject
Think it'll pass tomorrow? Like a 24-hour bug?
no subject
[Wednesday or Thursday, if she's lucky. Too long, really. She can't risk going out. Resigning herself to this, Rin knocks the cup back and downs the remainder of its contents in one go. Like she doesn't even plug her nose; the medicine goes down smoothly.
Now empty, she sets it down on the bed for a moment as she climbs back in to sit down, a little tenderly. Kind of... trying to disguise the fact she's barely moving her left arm too, though that might become more obvious when she sits.
She's been holding it in a strange position this whole time, like a broken arm suspended in a brace, but without said brace. But that's what this here pillow is going in her lap for! To cover that up.]
But at least I have soup.
no subject
...But they all have their secrets, don't they? She watches with thinly veiled concern and blinks; her eyes still hurt, from all the crying she's done today. ]
...Well, if you need anymore, you know where to find me. Gotta keep your strength up.
no subject
[And probably would have continued to forget until tomorrow. She's not sure yet if she'll take Alex up on her offer, but she appreciates it today? Maybe it's because she's too tired and sore to protest much anymore.
That makes her nervous on its own. It's probably why she doesn't bite her tongue before adding something much more dangerous, too:]
You can stay a little longer, if you want. I don't—I'm not contagious or anything, and it would be rude to chase you off after you helped me.
no subject
[ Truthfully even after washing off her face she does look absolutely dead on her feet, so this isn't an excuse or avoidance. ]
