WEEK 2.

WEEK 2

Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means.

No more excuses from here on out.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain?

[Fuck, carrots are great, she should've done the healthy choice. Oh well.]

Waiting around too. Just getting myself something nice for a bit here.
captainobnoxious: (34 it's alright if you don't understand)

[Girl, have a carrot, it might go with your ice cream.]

Ever tried snow cream? In my opinion, it's way better than your usual stuff.
greenmamabear: (Puzzled shade of green)

[personal profile] greenmamabear 2017-09-19 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Snow cream? What's the difference?
captainobnoxious: (79 well /i/ say--)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2017-09-19 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
One's made from snow, the other isn't. It's got a different kind of everything to it.

[Texture, crystal sizes, etc etc.]

We make it a lot when it comes down in droves back home!
greenmamabear: (Color me surprised)

[personal profile] greenmamabear 2017-09-19 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
[Seems straightforward.]

Huh. Never given that a go, I guess. Do you just pluck it from the ground or is there some other set-up?
captainobnoxious: (56 go for it)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2017-09-19 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
You scrape up only the freshest layer of snow, once you start getting to the other layers you start getting things you don't want to eat. And it's harder too! The first layer's soft enough for you to get something out of it.

[It's really delicious, apparently.]

Then you just add what you usually do to ice cream, mix it up, let it set, and there you go! Delicious, melt in your mouth sweetness. It's pretty much one of the only sweet things I'll eat a lot of.
greenmamabear: (Fern can work with that)

[personal profile] greenmamabear 2017-09-19 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
[Hot dang]

I usually get my ice cream out of a tub. You know how to make it?
captainobnoxious: (52 exciting right)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2017-09-19 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, of course! We just use imported ingredients. Want me to show you how?

[WE CAN ABSOLUTELY MAKE SOME ICE CREAM. IT'S FINE.]
greenmamabear: (Haha get wrecked embalming machine)

[personal profile] greenmamabear 2017-09-19 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[She sets down her spoon.]

That sounds awesome.
captainobnoxious: (85 and then what)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2017-09-20 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh hell yes. C'mere Fern, we are gathering things: whipping cream, regular cream, sugar and vanilla extract for Simplicity. For utensils, we are not bothering with measurement cups because Fuck That she doesn't use that shit, but we are involving the hand mixer and a shallow pan like this.

... The prep itself is really easy, it's just the waiting part once they hit it into the freezer. So they probably won't have it in time for the meeting, but after?

Oh, after, they are in for an ice cream delight.

(Fern can do the hand mixer. Sigrun isn't 100% how to use it because they have something else to help churn that shit, but Fern most likely does.)]

[personal profile] greenmamabear 2017-09-20 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
[Oddly enough, it takes her a second of experimentation to really get it working right, but she's got the hang of it soon enough. She probably gives a quick run-down of the buttons when showing it off to Sigrun.]
captainobnoxious: (39 fiiine)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2017-09-21 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh, good, they're kind of clueless together. Hell yeah.]

Now we just wait a couple hours and chow down.

[............]

It's the hardest part.
greenmamabear: (Color me surprised)

[personal profile] greenmamabear 2017-09-21 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
...I guess we could come back after the meeting. Even nighttime snack it.
captainobnoxious: (34 it's alright if you don't understand)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2017-09-21 12:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Guess so. It'll be something to look forward to, anyway.

[Considering the meeting is gonna be like, kind of depressing and all. After the last two days.]
greenmamabear: (Attempting to follow along here.)

[personal profile] greenmamabear 2017-09-21 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, it feels like it was good work. Fingers crossed.
