WEEK 2.

WEEK 2

Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means.

No more excuses from here on out.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain?

[.......... More interesting, but out of her league. Though it reminds her of her dream a bit.]

What sort of experiments? Besides bad ones.

I don't know the details beyond that, unfortunately.
captainobnoxious: (03 can't be that hard)

Huh. I see.

[Interesting.]

Is there anything you need to cure where you're from?

We don't have anything quite like what you've explained to me. My world is relatively safe, in comparison.

[There's plenty of other dangers but nothing like what Sigrun's told him.]

[Right, he said something like that once.

But he has also mentioned unethical experimentation so what is the fucking truth, Archer.]

They'd do treatments and stuff on the people that had the disease going around, and considering nothing worked I always wondered if they were really worth it. Like, there's this medicine they tried that stopped the disease, but... it killed their brains. So. You know. Stuff like that.

I see. That sounds dreadful. I would hope that a cure could be discovered someday that wouldn't result in brain death, but perhaps there isn't one.

Yeah, well... if there is, it's nowhere near where we thought it was. I think. Dreams are pretty important in the first place, but that one felt really real.

It's interesting, isn't it? I'm not used to remembering my dreams when I wake up, but this one... it almost felt like it wasn't a dream at all.

[From his tone, he's not sure what to make of that.]
