WEEK 2.
Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means. No more excuses from here on out. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain? |

[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Alena!]

No, my father was a - is a - controlling -
[She stops short of flat-out cursing, though it's probably clear what she means to say - 'my father is a controlling bastard'.]
I told my teammates this once, and it's the truth - he wasn't the first of our name. He won't be the last of it, not if Winter and I have anything to say about it.

You'll both be better than him, Weiss-san. I can assure you of that much. Karma has a way of coming back for men like him.

I certainly hope it does.

...thank you. That means a lot.
[Her voice cracks a tiny bit, but she swallows the lump in her throat.]
It's weird how being here almost means more freedom than in my family's house.

She's tempted to reach her hand out and put it on Weiss's shoulder, but...she keeps her smile on, softening even more.]
...I imagine this place does provide you with freedom. You don't have anyone's standards to meet but your own, and no one to compare you to that man. It's a little freeing.

[She stops herself.]
- since what happened at Beacon. The short version is that a group of people forced their way in, and made monsters follow them. We did all we could, but we couldn’t stop all of them.
I guess I feel a little like being here, where I don’t feel like I’m being blamed for it, is better than home.

You shouldn't be blamed for it in the first place. In a more just world, those people would have been caught and taken care of for their crimes, and you'd be free.
no subject
I know. It's no one's fault except the people that caused it.
...if we all get to go home, I'm leaving that place.
