WEEK 2.
Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means. No more excuses from here on out. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain? |

[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Alena!]

[Even so, she'll...agree with that much. She really fucked it up, but she brightens a bit at the idea that it isn't ruined.]
Oh, that's great! Honestly, I really like this fabric a lot--it's so pretty and spring-like, I had to try and do something with it!
[It's admittedly pink with some flowers sprinkled throughout it, but it'd probably look cute, she bets.]
What should I do, then?
no subject
[She seems to think on things, then shakes her head.] I'm sure I could come close to the right idea by winging it, but there's a proper procedure to these things. It's better to take out the guesswork, in other words.
[Because of course you have to do things in the correct order, Sayaka, gosh. You can't just skip ahead because the latter steps are more fun. :T
Even if that's what Rin knows how to do best herself... Haha...]
There's a library here, right? Why don't we look for a book on sewing instructions? There has to be one on dresses.
no subject
[...though, actually, now that Rin mentions it...]
Ah...you might not have a lot of luck, I'm afraid. Most of the selections in the library relate to fiction, from what I observed. Honestly, I couldn't even find a good cook book in there--I'm inclined to believe they might honestly not have anything relating to this.
[Which is bullshit of the highest order.]

[After looking thoughtful for a moment, she shrugs however.]
But it's still worth a quick check. Would you like to come along, or stay here?
[Either way, with permission from the mods, Rin will be able to find an instruction manual on sewing, so we can fast forward to after that. Whichever you prefer!]
no subject
[FAST FORWARDING IT IS, FRIEND--by the time Rin gets back, Sayaka peers up with a bit of a smile.]
Oh! Did you manage to find something?
no subject
It took some digging around, but I did! A few cookbooks too, which I can show you later. [She has the book open to a section on dressmaking too, so it should help a lot.] How was your luck with the fabric?
no subject
[Sayaka practically beams, clasping her hands together with a smile. She'll show the bit of fabric cut off, though, unclasping her hands to rub the back of her head a bit sheepishly.]
I...think I got the ribbon a bit too tangled into it, so I cut off what was effected. I feel so bad for wasting such pretty stuff, but there's still a lot more of it left! Starting over will be a breeze!

If there's anything that can be said for this room, it's well-supplied. If we were more skilled, we could make several dresses. [Grinning, she hands Sayaka the book.] But let's just start with the one. I saw two or three patterns in here. They're basic, but why don't you pick one out while I gather up the other supplies we'll need? We should take your measurements too.
no subject
[Still, Sayaka will go into the book and look over the patterns. They are basic, but with enough color, maybe they could become...beautiful...
...you know, it suddenly occurs to Sayaka when Rin mentions measurements, but--]
Ah, are...measurements something you're supposed to take?
[...oops?]

Isn't that how they do that on TV all the time, though? They just...know, how to make it properly...
[I am so, so sorry]
no subject
[...I'm also sorry.]
no subject
[...these two are idiots, aren't they...]
no subject
[Idiots in complete opposite directions of one another. Today Sayaka learns show producers edit things, and Rin is introduced to the concept of reality tv.]

[educational stupidity: the thread]
no subject
[She sounds like she's in actual awe over here, her mind is blown. What are people watching these days?? Though it does sound like something she might like too, if she had access to the whole thing.]
It must be sanitized for the public. Creating clothes from scratch is a time-consuming process; audiences would get bored if they had to see everything that goes into it.
no subject
[something something a whole new world of reality tv???]
no subject
no subject
[That actually manages to get a pout.]
no subject
[To the measuring tape, then! And other supplies. Rin's going to inch over there and go through the drawers, looking for the tape and some needles for pinning fabric.]
no subject
[They don't get worked as hard as real idols do, but it's still rewarding, at least.]
no subject
[On top of everything else she does, it's difficult, but Rin would agree it's absolutely rewarding. She's worked hard, and it's paid off nicely.]
no subject
[It's...nice, honestly. She can't say that she really excels in school to the point where she'd be as good of an example.]
