WEEK 2
Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means.

No more excuses from here on out.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain?

Wheat and oats? So it's... like bread?

[ But she shakes her head. No she hasn't, which is why she's getting close to examine it!! ]

Kinda. And sugar, usually. ...And milk, you gotta have it with milk.

... Why?

[ she's going to put her hand in this cereal to pick out an individual piece unless stopped because that's kind of gross ]

...'Cause it takes good and dry cereal's inherently inferior?

... Doesn't that make it soggy?

A good soggy. Sure, it might taste a little bad if you leave it sit forever, but it's a complementary taste.

Sheep, goat, or cow milk?

Uh... I've only ever had cow milk, but I guess you could use any.

Well they do taste different, if memory serves.

[ So if it's a taste thing??? u kno ]

Theeeen...cow milk I guess? That's the one that's mostly around in the US, so...

Huh!

[ She nods, smiling a little childishly as she runs the cereal piece between her fingers. ]

This really is so strange.

Well, it's easy and usually? It's cheap. Good for a quick breakfast before school.

My granddaughters seem to usually have miso and the like.

Miso soup? Yeah, we don't really have that for breakfast in America.

[ So...her granddaughters eat normal food. Okay, that's interesting. ]

I always thought the american breakfast was full of eggs.

[ ... But huh, it's not, neat. ]

Sometimes, but there's like...variety.

... Sheesh there's really a lot of different foods these days, aren't there?

[ ... ]

Yeeep, people just keep wanting to eat those foods.

Well there wasn't even half this variety when I was your age, you know!

Right. Back...a long time ago.

Well, they're, uh, good. All the food inventions.

Oh, I'm sure.

[ finally, she crushes the cereal, letting the dust fall on the counter... ]

I wonder how it all tastes.
