[In some ways, this trial was simpler. The killer was lacking in remorse, the victim innocent. The lines were clearer. Was that better, or worse?

Either way, Fern and Alex make up something of a green team, preparing a meal in the kitchen. Nothing particularly complicated. Coffee and water for whoever want it is at one end of the dining table. Along the rest of it is a variety of foods. A plate of cheese and crackers, a bowl of salad and carrots for the healthy people, some handy finger sandwiches, and... a big pot of mac and cheese. What they lack in presentation they make up in sheer volume of food. That's a big tub of mac and cheese.

They struggle with the invitations for a bit before eventually coming up with possibly the most awkward phrasing possible. These notes are quietly shoved under doors with little fanfare more than a quick knock.

Well, yes. I'm concerned about what Jericho said before the trial, obviously, what with Chitoge being the second person with that title... and the whole "traitor" thing. I'm wondering if I could even get a hint, perhaps.

I think it's a good avenue to go down, even if it does nothing. Give her a...I dunno, what's your specialty? Maybe she'll let something slip.

Hmm. Well, my mother's akutaq recipe always used to be a hit, but I don't think we have quite the right ingredients, considering we don't have any fresh bison fat here. Of course, I've heard some people in Republic City use vegetable shortening as a substitute, but I don't know if that'd turn out as well.

It's a bit of a staple back home, really. Basically, you mix fat with berries, meat, or fish, and you get a food that's kind of like... ice cream, I suppose? Except it can be sweet or savory. It can look a bit offputting to people who aren't used to it, but it's actually excellent.

It's a possibility, although I'm not entirely sure if it's a definite one. Last week may have been the only time it happened.

Of course, I think that if we do get another one, we can probably expect them from here on out.
