WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Walter White and Fern Green have joined the deceased. Their losses will be felt, just like all the deaths before them. While you might be tempted to put that mess of a trial out of your heads, it's hard to forget what happened. It's even harder to ignore the secrets that have been revealed, still burned into the wall of the dining room. You all have a lot to discuss, don't you? Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... The past week's trial seemed to be hard on everyone, including your captors, it seems that you're still being rewarded for your work; a new floor has been opened up to you, and along with it the return of the uneasy sense that they approve of what you're doing here: killing each other, picking one another off, singling each other out in the trials. It's likely not a pleasant feeling, knowing you're giving them what they want. But what else is there to be done? PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 28

But that's sorta why I learned to bake. One of our specialties is sata andagi, which is kinda like a donut! I wanted to make 'em for all my friends.

[She takes it carefully once it's selected, holding it with a cautiousness that's almost reverential. The same way she would hold a sword.]

She goes back over to her bow and picks it up. ]

Alright, so... I'm not the best teacher, but I'll show you what I know and describe it, I guess.

Um... Tell me more about those...skags, less of a vicious carnivore, so...any chance of keeping one as a pet?

Well, I do have many, many more years experience! The heart of it is diligence, though.

[ She says, brushing some fingers through a trail of her hair, one of her (shoeless) feet wiggling with pleasure at being praised like that. ]

Oh, uh... there are people who do, yes! They work well as guard dogs. Or you can ride them, if they're big enough or you're small enough.

I am not too worried. In fact, the more time goes on, the more relieved I am. After all - when I first came here, I was certain I would run out of time while trapped here. Now that we seem to be regaining our memories, I have hope that I have saved her already and just don't recall it yet.

[A sigh, but it isn't an unhappy sound.]

And when I return home and she is healed... Things will be different. I have learned much on my travels.

I mean, sleep sounds pretty ama- aaahhhh, amaazing still. [ Her words utterly derailed by a yawn prove her point. ] But, uh...I can head on back to my room.

[ Or... ]

Or... Do... Do you mind if I sleepover? I can, like, grab my blankets and pillow and crash on the floor, I don't mind, it just... It'd feel a lot better to have a...another person around, you know?

[bloodbiter]

Perhaps not, but it helped your friend all the same, did it not?

[She gives a nod.]

That is all that I ask. I would wager you are a better instructor than you imagine, though.

Jericho's way of laying down his "rules" does make the corrupt bastards at the Capital seem less powerful in comparison.

[ ... ]

But it'll be a pain in the ass if we just let ourselves be walked all over and used, if you know what I mean. There's not much we can do about it for now, but there's stuff that's been found just by looking around, and even just what's been talked at the meetings. So maybe continuing to do either of those things will help us in being able to escape.

I dunno how yet, but we might as well take what we can get.

[ Also Yuri's going to spite what he perceives as Jericho's attempts to splinter them as much as he can, so. ]

It put food in his siblings' and mom's mouths, so... You have a point.

[ She nods right back and goes about how she'd usually shoot--though she takes it slowly and pauses often to explain. ]

I'm glad to hear that. Your friend... What is he like?

[While she asks that, though, she pays careful attention to everything Katniss is doing and saying. Once the instructions end, she raises the bow and grabs an arrow, placing it in the way she described a moment ago.]

[He's motion motioning to his face. So, the shades.]

[ It's actually kind of elegant and cool to see in battle, he's not going to lie. Though, Yuri's mind is focused more or less now on the taunt the man's just given him. ]

Oh yeah?

[ Even though Yuri's been pounding away at the damn mat all day, it doesn't feel like anything's really started until this fight, honestly. How focused he is only seems to increase just because there's the challenge in that taunt and he always rises to meet the challenge. This time, when Rideaux closes in on him, he's prepared enough to react properly, and he side-steps out of the way of the punch. His next move is to make an attempt at an grab for the other man's wrist--if Yuri's successful, he's going to basically see how trying to punch him in the stomach with his free hand will go. ]

[ Yuri was just going to leave it vague but with his secret out, it makes it obvious he's got the vigilante thing going on. Oh well, at least... she likes it, and it's not like he has any regrets. ]

Yeah, something like that. The laws back home don't really do much for the people--just for those in power. So someone's gotta make sure to do what needs to be done.

Honestly, Alex? I would consider them to be the catalysts more than the explosion itself. In my experience, catalysts are usually something organic. Humans, spirits, monsters...
