WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Walter White and Fern Green have joined the deceased. Their losses will be felt, just like all the deaths before them. While you might be tempted to put that mess of a trial out of your heads, it's hard to forget what happened. It's even harder to ignore the secrets that have been revealed, still burned into the wall of the dining room. You all have a lot to discuss, don't you? Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... The past week's trial seemed to be hard on everyone, including your captors, it seems that you're still being rewarded for your work; a new floor has been opened up to you, and along with it the return of the uneasy sense that they approve of what you're doing here: killing each other, picking one another off, singling each other out in the trials. It's likely not a pleasant feeling, knowing you're giving them what they want. But what else is there to be done? PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 28

[The start of this week hasn't been so bad, for Susan - a good thing, after the horrorshow that was the last case. It lets her pretend that things are okay; she can look out for the others who aren't.

She goes to the dining hall first thing in the morning, to drink her coffee. If you catch her right when she arrives, you'll see her dropping off some more pictures for Cabanela's memorial - sketched portraits of all the dead, minus Walter. Maybe she'll do him later...we'll see. For now, she sits at another table and drinks her coffee, looking up at the secrets wall thoughtfully.

After a while, you can find her standing on a chair, taping a large piece of paper over one of the lines near the bottom. It isn't her own secret; she seems to have mostly chosen it based on proximity.

Susan spends the rest of the afternoon in the library. There's a couple of books sitting on the table next to her, but she's paying attention to the one propped up on her knee, and the needles in her hands. It looks like she's trying to teach herself how to knit...?

It's not going especially well.

In the evening, Susan will be in the ballroom playing the piano again. It's starting to become a regular thing for her; it's been getting earlier and earlier every time, until now it's maybe seven, so apparently she doesn't really mind company.]

Do you practice often, Ashworth-san?

[You don't sound like a beginner!]

Yeah. I had an upright piano at home...it was one of the few things I did do, still.

It certainly sounds like you have a lot of experience with this instrument...but what do you mean it was one of the few things you did do?

[If she's not too nosy by asking that, of course!]

Well, you know. I was between jobs, and all...it's easy to feel like you're just not doing anything all day.

[Not what she meant at all, really, but she doesn't know Kyrie all that well.]

[She has absolutely no idea what it's like to be between jobs, but she nods nonetheless]

At least you had something to occupy your time. I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I had nothing to work for.

[Which is why the first week here was a nightmare]

[ When Yuri crosses by the library, it's just a bit of a walk until he ends up in the gym today. He stops by the doorway, noticing someone's in there and peeks in out of curiousity. ]

Trying to make something over there?

[Susan sighs.]

Just a square, right now. That's where you're supposed to start. I thought it might be good to have something new to keep myself busy...other than drawing pictures of dead people.

Not bad, I think you'll be a pro in no time.

Anyway, I haven't picked up doing anything like drawing. But, it is good to have something to do.

[ If he does pick up drawing though, it probably won't last since it requires so much fine detail with a pencil or a good amount of patience. ]

Most of the time I've started spending the day over at the dojo that's popped up. Before that, I've been over in the game room to try some of the things there.

Have you seen all the hidden doors in there yet? I left the shelf pushed away from the one I found, but somebody went and put it back. [Which, like, fine.]

They did? Wow, I guess someone feels like being a pain.

[ Well now, that's just rude. ]

I haven't seen any hidden doors around there. I mean I could try to search if the dojo has any of those sometime.

[ ...She really does like listening to Susan play, so that's probably why she actually stays quiet until she's run through a song.

Not that it stops her from being like, aggressively loud after, but details. ]

You really should try for something a little bouncier all the way through, Adroit! [ ...hi. ] Not that that one was bad... Actually, it's kinda like... Hmmmmm, like something you'd totally expect someone to do some kinda ballet to?

[She cocks her head a little.] Maybe. I don't really remember where I first heard it.

Are there any songs you have in mind? I don't know if I'd know them, but still.

How aboooout... [ Hmmm... ] Oh, I know! What about "Call Me Maybe"? Oh, wait, you're kinda an old lady, you might not know snappy pop songs...

"The Marriage of Figaro"? That's a Mozart one.

Yeah...

[Call Me Maybe was released in 2012, the exact year Susan is from, so it's up in the air whether it even exists for her right now. Regardless, she absolutely would not know it.

[ Elda is finally exploring the top floor in more detail today! She hasn't really done that much yesterday, still so caught up in her memories was she.

... but now, here she is, and she's in the gym. It's so... not her style. It's quaint. However, when she's fairly certain she's alone, she'll just be reaching down to try out the barbells. She wants to get a feel for what his strength is like right now. She fairly easily manages 5 pounds. Then 10. Then 20. But once she gets higher than that, it starts to be more of a strain.

... Shit. She really is a lot weaker here. Well, she already knew that, but it's still frustrating. It's to this end that while she does look in the other parts of the floor (dojo and shooting range) neither really holds her interest. Instead she (and the ridiculous living jelly that is Ditty) go to the infirmary.

... Everyone knows, right? So she's just going to sit in here on one of the beds and drink the incredibly bland blood packet, more to see how it feels to do it in the open than anything else. No one here has seen her drink blood, not even Sayaka. So she's doing this when she's pretty sure she's alone and might feel weird if someone comes in.

Basically, she's just trying to do private things and may not be managing it. ]

[...hm. he was gonna do some waterbending forms just to get back into things, and maybe work out a bit, but... haha.]

Well, don't forget leg day, Ms. Marker. That's a common mistake people make.

... Leg day? My legs look great?

[ In fact, she's going to hike her dress a bit to show them off. See? Wiggle, wiggle. Also her toes because she's not wearing shoes. ]

Oh, well, yes. I just know that if you're going to work out, you're not supposed to skip leg day so you can keep them looking fantastic.

Oh, I'm not really working out! Haha, no, I'm just getting a grip on where my strength's at. Don't think of me as too much of a muscle head or anything.

[ SERIOUSLY. ]

[ ......She isn't sure why she didn't expect to see Elda here, given she's totally a vampire and all????

And yet. ]

You don't wanna put that in a glass or something, Indomitable?

[ also what is that cute jelly thing, is that that Ditty thing, oh man— ]

... Oh. [ she started a bit, slipping a bit on the counter she'd been sitting on until the fact it's Aligula is noticed. She corrects herself and clutches the back a little tighter, holding it up to her - wait that'll spill on her, uh. ]

... Good, it's just you. No, this is fine.

[ Pfffffffft. ]

Your standards are way too looooooow. [ maybe some people just don't want to wash blood-stained glasses, aligula. ] If you got one of those little straws, it'd be like you were drinking some kinda... Vampire Capri Sun.

My standards are nothing! I'd never be drinking this prepackaged tasteless garbage if I was given an option to hunt! But they've neutered half my skills, I don't have bats, and the minute I bite any of these people, they'll all turn on me.
