Week 2.
Two people are dead. Ken Kaneki has been murdered, Reaver has been executed - and perhaps most uncomfortably, the Conductor is proud of you all for adhering to due process. (As always, by which he means that there is a process, and you all are certainly doing it.) Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, once you've shaken that off, there are new things to be looked at; the previously closed-off area near the kitchen has been unlocked, and there's a new floor to be explored - consider it your reward for a job well done. |

[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains as well!

She gives Mordecai a blank look as he goes on about Martians and other alien beings that apparently populated the universe. She gets that his words is apparently very big, something she wishes she had. Instead of this empty memory.]
...I don't think that's it. [Maybe with a little more thinking...]
I still can't remember everything... but... I know how I got my wings, and my ring too. I think.
no subject
This is one heck of a mystery, and Mordecai wants to know everything.]
Didja grow 'em, 'cause that's my best guess. Second best is that someone attached those wings to you, like some kinda...science experiment.
[He's used that explanation more times than he should, which should be zero. Mad scientists kidnapped them from across time and space. Mad scientists are running this experiment. Rick is a mad scientist. Mad scientists are behind strange body modifications.]

[Rakka looked... as though she was wincing for a quick second. Or maybe longer, given the sort of person Rakka was. She gave him a curt nod at least, telling him that he'd landed on something.]
Yes, that's right. I remember having a fever, and there was one other girl with wings; she was helping me when I grew out my wings. It wasn't some kind of weird experiment, but...
[She rubbed her shoulders of a phantom pain.] It still hurt.
no subject
But the poor girl needs someone to trust.]
Rakka. [He stands up straight, his best impression of an authority figure.] It's all in the past, your wings don't hurt anymore. I say it's like getting your tooth pulled out for us humans, it hurts, but every kid goes through it.
Better yet, you remembered someone from home! You recognized her?
no subject
She's a lost girl and feeling more confused by the second... which makes it all the better when Mordecai stands up. Because Rakka honestly listens to him.]
.... [She sniffles.] Do I...? No, I don't think so. But, she was helping me with everything. She cleaned my wings after they grew out, and she was talking to me about... what we are.
... Her name was Reki.
[And, judging by the way a smile danced onto Rakka's lips, Reki was a friend.]

[There's something welling up inside him - pride? - as Rakka divulges more information. It's not much, but she's made a lot of progress since he first saw her.]
Look, even a memory like that has a lot to teach. You remember where you were, you remember you friend, you remember what was happenin' -- that's a lot when you think about it.
[This is the part where he should pat her on the shoulder, right? Yeah, let's do that. It should be comforting.] You'll start rememberin' everythin' in no time.
no subject
It feels like... such a strange memory to get like this, and it doesn't explain everything that I wish it would. But, maybe that's the point of it!
[She's already drawn her own conclusions on it, it seems.] I just wish I didn't have the least memories of everyone here.
no subject
Ain't nothin' wrong with that, so long as you're not throwin' a fit over it. ["No trouble in my place" and all that.] I personally never had amnesia, but I think memories don't come back in the order they happened, just what's more important. See, gettin' your wings is a big deal, I'm guessin', so that's what you remembered!
[If this was one of his shitty short stories, he'd write someone getting the most dramatic memory possible at the most convenient time. Why wouldn't life work the same way?]
no subject
It does seem like it's a big memory to have. [She glances over her shoulder, her wings flutter a bit.] You really think that's it? Hmmm, maybe you're right - I guess I was wondering why I had wings for a long time, so then it came to be after a while.
no subject
Yeah, now keep on thinkin' of what you know, and soon everythin' will work out, easy! Now, how about we talk over breakfast? Get our brains workin'!
no subject
Huh? Breakfast? [She realizes that, yes, there is food currently being made. It slipped her mind a little. And now, she's beginning to notice the way her stomach's been rumbling.]
Breakfast sounds nice, thank you!
