WEEK 2 Two people are dead. Ken Kaneki has been murdered, Reaver has been executed - and perhaps most uncomfortably, the Conductor is proud of you all for adhering to due process. (As always, by which he means that there is a process, and you all are certainly doing it.) Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, once you've shaken that off, there are new things to be looked at; the previously closed-off area near the kitchen has been unlocked, and there's a new floor to be explored - consider it your reward for a job well done. Why does what keep happening?

[Turning to leave is probably a little difficult when Hibiki is standing right at the entrance. She's not snooping, nor does she have any coins, she just heard something and decided to be there. That's all.

Besides, she should...probably talk to Logan at some point, right? There was a lot of arguing during that...trial.]

Everythin' alright, your majesty?

[decrees]

[That trial was a goddamn mess, but Logan certainly seems to be doing better today.]

Ah, I... received something familiar, that's all.

[He taps the box of bullets in explanation. He can't be certain they're the ones belonging to Reaver's gun, but given the size and how they don't fit the Golden Gun... well. It's the easiest conclusion to come to.]

You're not the only one. I got a picture from home that last time I used this thing. What did you get?

[She didn't show it to Logan during the party, but he probably noticed it at some point or another since she was trying to use it to cheer people up.

Now, if that box is clearly labeled bullets, she'll get it in a second, but...]

I'm...I'm alright! There's nothin' that can get me down for long.

[An obvious lie, but she's trying, okay.]

[Yes, he remembers the picture. He'll have to ask her about it at some point, but for now...]

I received bullets. They're too large for this gun, so they... most likely belong to Reaver.

...I'm glad to hear you're doing alright.

[He's pretty sure she's lying, but he's lying as well and sometimes it's easiest not to acknowledge the lies.]

[This gun. Bullets???? Reaver. But more importantly, guns.]

What the heck?! Why is that thing always givin' out weapons?! And bullets, too...that...that's horrible!

[She's tempted to demand he hand them over. She's convinced giving them to Cabanela or Susan is the safest bet, but. He's a king. Conflict there.]

I was startin' to feel even better but now I know that thing gives out guns. In Japan, gettin' a gun is...it's almost impossible!

[decrees]

[...please do not ask the emotionally wrecked king to hand over the thing that reminds him of his dead friend, that's a little awkward...]

Is it? Most people in Albion carry a pistol or a rifle.

[BECAUSE WE SURE AS HELL ARE A SAFE COUNTRY]

The machine has given out several weapons. Guns, knives, a sword, a pickaxe... There are most likely plenty of others in there.

[...he says, like this ain't even a thing.]

It really is! I'm not really sure how it goes, but I know the police come out and interview your family members...

[And other complicated processes.]

It gave me a knife. I gave it to Ashworth-san, though. There's no I wanted anythin' like that near me!

[Poor Hibiki sounds exasperated just talking about a weapon she had days ago. For only a few seconds.]

[decrees]

[Man, in Albion you can walk into any weapons' shop and buy a gun and walk out with it. Things sure are weird in Japan.]

Ah, I understand. I don't approve of the idea of weapons being in the machine at all, but it is best to give them to someone who will keep them safe.

[...Hopefully. Ashworth... That's Susan, right? She's got a good head on her shoulders, so hopefully she won't snap and kill anyone with that knife, that'd be super unfortunate.]

[nankurunaisa]

Mm, that's what I was thinking. That's why I still have those...those bottles from Kaneki's room.

[The arsenic. She doesn't know how to drain them without inhaling their fumes, so she's stuck holding onto those as well. It's the worst.]

You don't think people are getting weapons and not sayin' anything, do you?

[decrees]

[...well he's currently in possession of something like four weapons, so um.]

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be surprised. It is something to be cautious of. I would be careful about going out at night.

[During the day it isn't so bad since everyone's out and about, but at night...]

Yeah. What happened to Kaneki, I'm not...gonna let that happen to me. It looked like he hadn't been able to fall asleep.

[His bed was unmade, he was just relaxing in the library...ah, wait. Is it weird to say that considering Reaver is. Also. Dead.]

[Logan glances away, but otherwise he doesn't seem too upset.]

I don't want anything like that to happen to anyone else. The most we can do right now is try to band together. Staying in your room at night is an excellent precautionary measure, however.

It's all I can think of doin'. This kinda stuff isn't anythin' I thought I'd ever have to do. I'm not usually in danger...but maybe there won't be another murder! Now that we all know what happens, so, um...

[She really hates Reaver, honestly.]

...we can make sure nothing happens to anyone else like it did to them, that's all I'm sayin'.

[decrees]

...It would be nice if no one else moved.

[But he doubts that. He seriously doubts that we're all going to sit here and play nice forever.]

We'll do what we can to ensure everyone's safety.

[...Someone's totally going to be dead by the end of the week.]

Right? Plus, we're all gettin' to know each other more...I don't think there are many bad people here.

[Somewhere in the building, Rick exists.]

If I find any more weapons, I'm gonna give 'em to Ashworth-san. But aside from that...there's somethin' else I wanted to talk to ya about.

It's...kinda hard to put into words! I'm not really good at this stuff.

[Things like..."why did you make the trail so difficult" combined with "you don't really seem like a bad guy"...their relationship is officially complicated, sorry.]

Just, c'mere for a sec.

...Very well.

[That's odd, but alright. He moves closer and... just sort of stands there awkwardly.]

[Wow, he's a foot taller than her. She feels a bit intimidated, but.]

Can you bend down just a little? You're really tall up close!

[decrees]

Ah, yes, I've been told that. I'm far taller than most of the citizens of Albion.

[There was a lot of confusion over why he wasn't a Hero of Skill, how the hell did he end up so tall.

Logan leans down a bit, though it's very obvious he has absolutely no idea what's going on here.]

It'll all be alright! So keep workin' hard, okay?

Logan has just officially been patted.]

[...You know, that's... a little odd, but also kind of adorable. Logan doesn't usually do physical contact at all, but he'll allow that.]

I'll continue to do everything I can.

[And that... doesn't exactly sound confident, but it's a promise, alright.]

[There. Perfect. If she can't make words like a real person would, she can convey her feelings through treating people like animals.

No big deal.]

Hehe! That makes two of us. It might be hard, but there's no point in either of us givin' up.

Of course not. That would be unacceptable. We've made it this far; the only thing to do is to keep moving forward.
