Week 2.

WEEK 2

Two people are dead. Ken Kaneki has been murdered, Reaver has been executed - and perhaps most uncomfortably, the Conductor is proud of you all for adhering to due process.

(As always, by which he means that there is a process, and you all are certainly doing it.)

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

However, once you've shaken that off, there are new things to be looked at; the previously closed-off area near the kitchen has been unlocked, and there's a new floor to be explored - consider it your reward for a job well done.

PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 27

[ On a fresh sheet of paper because Christ what a grimey note.. ]

I'm not sure if a leader is exactly the thing we need right now.

Nothing against Logan, of course. I'm sure he's a fine leader, probably a far better choice than Rick is
[ despite the fact that his country is possibly in turmoil and he apparently enjoys executions ]

One could make the case that it's nice to have someone who knows what they're doing in charge of us to help us decide where our priorities should lie. But I'm uncomfortable enough under the Conductor's thumb. I don't know if we'll benefit from guidance in the traditional sense, considering no one knows what we're up against, Logan included. Not to mention, we have a bunch of people here who really like being in control of their own situations; restricting them to the orders of an authority figure might not have the most productive results.

The meeting yesterday was nice. It was constructive enough. We all contributed in our own way. I'd be comfortable if he continued to organize those and we made future decisions as a group based on those, provided everyone has their own degree of input. But I'm not convinced an actual leader isn't what we need to get out of here just yet. You should be your own biggest motivator.

Then again, I'm a bit of a rebel. If you guys want Logan in charge, I'm not going to complain about it. Do what makes you feel most comfortable.

I'm not sure if having your approval is a good thing or a bad thing...

Yeah... I mean I guess I get where you're coming from.

It'd be pretty bad if something happened to King Logan while he was leading us, too. But I mean, I still think it's a good idea for someone to like.. help us figure out what to do like a leader would.

I don't really care that much if we don't elect a leader or anything, though. Just throwing out ideas!

crimsonchin: finally hit just right (Feel it deepening the rift)

Right. That's why I like the meeting idea. I don't do the whole "social" thing but I can see the benefits to everyone hashing something out and coming to a general consensus. Everyone feels like their voice matters that way, rather than "we'll do this because Logan said we should and he knows what he's doing". That's a lot of pressure on His Royal Highness, especially when he's still going through personal shit on top of it.

A week is a bit soon to be making these kind of decisions.

I'm not even sure he'd take us up on the offer at the moment; after all, he's been through plenty already.

I have nothing against the meetings, but any thing we do should probably be something the group, or at least a majority, decides on its own.
