Week 2.

WEEK 2 Two people are dead. Ken Kaneki has been murdered, Reaver has been executed - and perhaps most uncomfortably, the Conductor is proud of you all for adhering to due process. (As always, by which he means that there is a process, and you all are certainly doing it.) Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, once you've shaken that off, there are new things to be looked at; the previously closed-off area near the kitchen has been unlocked, and there's a new floor to be explored - consider it your reward for a job well done. ...Well, there is a legend back home about a creature that can erase your memories if you see its eyes, so I at least have some familiarity with the possibility.

But... I think that Blue is actually physically older than she remembers being, and I had a strange dream that didn't quite feel like a dream, I suppose.

[decrees]

A dream... I had an odd one as well, but...

[There's no way that could have been a memory. It doesn't make any sense.]

I suppose we cannot rule that possibility out just yet. Perhaps some of the others have had odd dreams as well.

[oftheland]

I suppose it's worth asking around about it, then. I'm not sure if I'd say it's worrying, because it might make a few things make sense in the long run, but it's certainly something we want to keep an eye on.

[decrees]

Indeed. Perhaps we'll receive answers in time.

[Though he doubts it. The Conductor's an asshole who likes to make his life miserable, so.]

I'm sure we'll probably have to go out and find them instead of expecting to receive them, honestly. It's difficult to know where to start looking, but... I don't think we're getting much out of our host.

[decrees]

...You're right, of course. The Conductor will not give us any information freely. If we're to learn anything about how we were brought here, we'll have to figure it out on our own.

[...how the hell are we going to do that.]

[oftheland]

Precisely. I'm not entirely sure where to start looking, honestly... there's nothing immediately obvious that jumps out at me, but I guess I could not be looking hard enough.

[decrees]

There are new rooms to explore, though I doubt the sewing room would hold anything of interest and that one room with the large table seems to be a dead end as well.

[what the fuck is a conference room]

I suppose if you were feeling dedicated, you actually could hide something in a sewing room... but you're probably right. Granted, the fact that they're so unassuming might make them the perfect spots to hide something, thinking about it...

[decrees]

Ah... That's a fair point. Perhaps someone will be able to find something there.

[He doesn't know the first thing about sewing, he wouldn't notice anything out of place...]

[oftheland]

If not, we can just rule them out, I suppose... which is helpful in its own way.

[decrees]

Hopefully we'll be able to find something here.

[But he doubts the Conductor would open up another floor unless he was sure there wasn't anything for them to find...]

Well, we are supposed to take initiative, aren't we? Perhaps we'll be rewarded.
