Week 2.

WEEK 2 Two people are dead. Ken Kaneki has been murdered, Reaver has been executed - and perhaps most uncomfortably, the Conductor is proud of you all for adhering to due process. (As always, by which he means that there is a process, and you all are certainly doing it.) Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, once you've shaken that off, there are new things to be looked at; the previously closed-off area near the kitchen has been unlocked, and there's a new floor to be explored - consider it your reward for a job well done. [Oh, Marty... You're fooling nothing. It's fine...] What, getting sick from work? ...Yeah, sometimes. But it's not so bad. Atmosphere's nice. Oh come on, where did I...aha!

[Ashley just digs out a red beanie from behind her back. For you, Marty.]

I donno. From thinking maybe? Or actual, uhh-

[ Marty's gonna look...really confused because what's going on? You're acting kind of funny, but he's not gonna judge. ] You alright?

[She raises her eyebrows.] C'mon. Don't tell me you forgot. The survey I did on Tuesday? I finished your hat.

Nuh uh! [ He raises his eyebrows, looking from the present and then back to her. ] You didn't actually do it, didja?

[ When it's offered to him Marty takes it and look at it, a smile breaking on his face! He quickly puts it on, and grins. ] Perfect fit! It's nice 'n warm, too.

[ This is probably the best thing that's happened to him since he came, but he's not gonna say that out loud or anything. ] What do I owe ya?

Ah, it looks good, thank gosh.

Why do all of you people think you owe me? It's out of my own good nature, no payment or favors required.

[heymcfly]

It looks amazing. Man, you really didn't have to do this!

He fixes it for a moment or two, and shrugs. ] Because you took time to make me this. I mean I can't sow worth a shit but that's gotta be hard to do, right? [ He smiles. ] A favor for a favor, right?

[ Only he can't sow. Or do anything super special except for play guitar. ]

It's kind of mindless, actually. For me. [Meaning she's had a lot of time to think.] It's really nothing...but fine, if you want to do me a favor, I won't fight. I just...don't really know what to ask for.

Well...ahhh...

[ Shit, what can he do? ] Is there a guitar around here?

You could ask the Conductor. Maybe he'll provide.

...It's worth a shot, I guess. I'll see if I can write him.

[ Why not? Marty adjusts the beanie a bit and smiles. ] Thanks again. I really appreciate this.
