WEEK 2 Two people are dead. Ken Kaneki has been murdered, Reaver has been executed - and perhaps most uncomfortably, the Conductor is proud of you all for adhering to due process. (As always, by which he means that there is a process, and you all are certainly doing it.) Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, once you've shaken that off, there are new things to be looked at; the previously closed-off area near the kitchen has been unlocked, and there's a new floor to be explored - consider it your reward for a job well done. [He can't talk about it; he hasn't been able to talk about it in four years, it's no surprise that it's still difficult now.]

I sincerely hope your situation is nothing close to mine.

Who knows. [ Jean, probably unsurprisingly, isn't exactly in the mood to talk about it. ] Right now I'm more worried about whether any of us can actually get out of this place.

That is the primary concern, yes. At this rate it seems we won't find a way to escape and we will only be released when the Conductor decides he's done with this.

However long that takes. [ Jean doesn't sound happy. ] You think he even intends to let us go free?

[decrees]

...No. Should someone... actually manage to get away with murder, perhaps he would let them go, but I sincerely doubt it.

[ That's about what Jean thinks - which means there's really only one solution. ] It's up to us to get out of here, then.
