Week 2.
Two people are dead. Ken Kaneki has been murdered, Reaver has been executed - and perhaps most uncomfortably, the Conductor is proud of you all for adhering to due process. (As always, by which he means that there is a process, and you all are certainly doing it.) Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, once you've shaken that off, there are new things to be looked at; the previously closed-off area near the kitchen has been unlocked, and there's a new floor to be explored - consider it your reward for a job well done. |

...What sort of powers do you have?
[He's been pretty curious about that, but he's not sure if now is a good time to ask or not. Hopefully it won't be too bad??]
no subject
[ They're still a thing in Albion, right? ]

[ ...Don't mind her unhappy squawk. ]
Well, that's...! [ UNACCEPTABLE. ] ...Fine, the first thing you should know is that I am one. [ ... ] Or a close enough approximation, anyway. [ If he really has no frame of reference for this... ]
The main things are that I can form illusions, and-- [ -you know what, she's going to stand up for this part ] I have three forms. Human...
[ - she waves a hand over her torso - ]
Fox...
[ - she bobs down slightly so that she can gesture to the air at around fox height - ]
And... [ Youko snaps back, curling one hand to be the fox's 'ear' on top of her head while the other pantomimes the tail. ] ...'in-between', I guess? Just a human with fox ears and tail. And sharp teeth, if I want them.
[ SHE GRINS for two seconds before remembering that ah, yes, she can't do that here. Tragic... ]

So being able to transform between these three is part of the powers you're missing?
[Well no wonder she's mad. Though he's having a hard time figuring out what the in between form would be useful for. Other than scaring people, maybe??]
What sorts of illusions can you form?
no subject
Moe factor, Logan]Yes. I'm just an ordinary human now. I hate it. it feels wrong.
[ A thought occurs to her: ]
I'm not just trapped in this building, I'm trapped in my own skin.
[ 'I talked with Reaver about this', she considers saying.
No. It's too soon, everything is still so raw. ]
...As for my illusions... hmm.
[ Youko sits back down next to Logan on the bed. ]
Well, a lot of it is nudging people's minds to accept what I want them to and not think very hard about it. I do that a lot. There'd be... problems in my daily life otherwise, now that I'm living amongst humans back home.
But it's not just that. I can build things, or change things. I'd show you, if I could. If I want something to be real, it... can be. For a small time, anyway. Less now, since Kan-chan named me.
no subject
He named you? Is that part of the bond you two share?
[Why he's your master, basically?]
It sounds like an impressive ability. Magic isn't capable of that in Albion.
[At least, not to that extent.]
no subject
Youko nods forcefully. ]
Yes, exactly.
[ ...and then switches to shaking her head, albeit briefly. ]
I... my, that's nothing though. Humans can't use magic in that way, but that's...
[ No one's ever complimented those abilities before. ]
There are powerful youkai, and I'm not one of them.
no subject
[But with abilities like that...? Well, just because they're impressive by Albion standards doesn't mean they're the best thing in Youko's world.]
