[ So, Yuri's going to be going around, putting up slips of paper for everyone to see, because even with everything that was that trial, he is sure it could help. He doesn't know--it's worked from time to time before anyway and someone should do it. ]



[ Yuri, for once, is going to be making some food for the afterparty that isn't desserts. On his side of things, his food is generally going to be geared towards something more western-style and hearty. In essence, there is some things of curry with beef, chicken, and vegetables in them, take your pick. Sayaka and Kyrie also will be assisting with food, providing stuff that is likely to be geared towards something asian.

This whole set up, of course, is going to be done in the dining hall, since that's where it usually is. ]

[A small intake of breath as she realizes what that noise must mean, but then she speaks, hoping to be heard over the noise.]

[ She won't be here later. She snarls, and then rips one of the sketches from the wall.

She writes on the back of it: ]

OF COURSE IM NOT OKAY

[ And as if to cement that image - her writing is not her normal neat cursive. Oh it's still cursive, but it looks like she wrote hard enough she nearly ripped the paper a few times before she put it under the door. ]

[bloodbiter]

[Bending down to pick it up, she reads over it and takes a breath.]

I know. I wouldn't ask that of you.

[matchbreaker]

[ Next, a sketch of this man On the back is written ]

THEN WHAT?

[bloodbiter]

I wanted to see if there was anything I could do to help you.

[Even if she doubts it.]

[matchbreaker]

[ A piece of paper starts to be pushed under the door... but then it's pulled back.

Adelina can grab it to get it free if she wants, otherwise the response is recalled for now. ]

[bloodbiter]

[She's definitely trying to pull it free, but not hard enough to tear it.]

[matchbreaker]

[ Elda yanks it back once, but once she feels the resistance, well. Adelina's got the option of pulling more with the risk of tearing or letting Elda reclaim it. ]

[bloodbiter]

[She thinks about relenting, but in the end, her stubbornness wins out. She pulls harder.]

[matchbreaker]

[ It rips, a little.

But only the corner Elda was loosely holding. What comes out is a sketch of Susan, of Elda drawing that woman's rare smile: ]

GIVE ME BACK MY FRIEND

[bloodbiter]

[She reads the note, and it feels like she's been punched in the gut. The pause that ensues is lengthy, and then:]

I'm sorry.

[matchbreaker]

Apologies.

[ Elda chokes that out, and she finally makes to open the door, sprawled out on her knees as she is on the ground here. ... She starts again, knowing that might not have carried through the door without it being open a crack like it is now. ]

Apologies. Won't bring them back.

[bloodbiter]

I know.

[She swallows, continuing after a moment.]

Nothing will.

[matchbreaker]

Something should've. Susan should be back.

[ But she won't be, will she? Of course not. ]

[bloodbiter]

...That is not how it works. I wish it were.

[Knowing they are gone hurts. It stings.]

[matchbreaker]

She's come back before! She's told me - over and over and over she's come back! It's an ability they- ... they. They must've stripped it.

[ She snarls this, and hangs her head. ]

[bloodbiter]

Of course they would. They... Why would they not do something entirely awful like that?

[Her voice shakes a bit more than she'd like.]

[matchbreaker]

Because it wouldn't. Be fair.

[bloodbiter]

Since when have they cared about fairness?

[Some bitterness leaks into her voice.]

They... It was only be fuel their own twisted agenda.

[matchbreaker]

... That's the reasoning for so many of my abilities being gone. To level the laying field.

[ She... she laughs a little. ]

So when I snap your neck, I couldn't just make everyone forget your ever lived.

[bloodbiter]

[And she gets a laugh back, incredulous.]

You wouldn't be able to do that anyways, Elda.

[matchbreaker]

Is that doubting my skill or my resolve?

[bloodbiter]

Neither. It's simply knowing I would be able to stop you.

[matchbreaker]

Then I've not put enough fear in you.

[ She says this with a ragged breath, something near a pout. If she were in any better mood, this is where the claws would come out to demonstrate her speed. ]

[bloodbiter]

I'm afraid it's a bit late for that, you know.
