And, honestly, for all the crap they've been put through by the Coordinators, he's at least glad to be there for someone who hasn't had the chance for anyone to support them at all. ]

Heh, well. If you ask me, I thought it was just the right amount of cheesiness. It's good to leave things simple at times, but other times it can be nice to go a little beyond that.
