For all that's true, for all you do
[ A note goes up on the fridge shortly after Chie signs the chicken petition on Monday: ]

[ Come 6 pm, she has prepared some coffee and tea so people can have something to drink while watching the shenanigans that will happen, as well as hot sauce as penalty for refusing a dare. So come here and have fun, y'all. ]

No, it's okay! Really, I'm just... a little different. And I think that's fine.
[ It's true. If she minded being different... haha. hahahaha.
...discovering she was surprisingly bound by social conventions pertaining to clothing, however. ugh... ]
They look really cute and cool on everyone else!

I- if it makes you feel better, it's not really my go-to either. Too formal and, you know...uniform. Ha. Haha.
[desperately tries to save conversation]

...That's right, you probably aren't long out of school, are you?
[ That's what she's assuming is the problem there. ]

[You know what's a nice subject that Ashley can talk a lot about? School. That will probably wipe away all the awkward going on here, right?]

You were able to attend high school away from a city? Your country sounds amazing. But you go to college? Please, tell me more. My... [ 'master' ] ...friend was able to attend one, but that was before I knew him. That's not as noteworthy as woman attending college anyway! You must be incredibly intelligent!
[ -and from a respectable, loaded family but she doesn't say that. Forgive her Ashley, she's from 190X ]

Y... Excuse me?

Wh... what?

I. I've lived in a city my whole life. And women have been going to college for- for decades, for longer than decades- not that I'm not intelligent, I'm pretty darn smart, but is this one of those time things, because I'm from 2015 and gender equality is a big thing then.

That's incredible! It's really not common at all where I'm from! Things are that different?
...I don't care one way or the other about uniforms no longer generally mattering, but the rest! Ahh~
[ Youko lets out a dreamy sigh.
Her character song is about what it means to be a modern woman, this was only ever going to go one way: happily!
shame you're not loaded tho. ]

With this out of the way, it seems this conversation can go a much smoother direction!]
Well, yes, it's really different! Just about every girl I know goes to college. I'm- well, really smart, but one of my friends, she's been top of nearly everything for years, going to school for business management.
[It's Emily's world, honestly, and they're all just living in it, this Ashley has known for years.]
The whole world's...different. Sexists are still sexists, but women can get jobs and go to school and do anything a guy can, in theory.

Even... after marriage??
[ Ashley
are you telling her the jedi mind tricks she uses back home to keep people from noticing/caring she is hella unmarried and living in sin with Kantarou wouldn't be necessary
holy hell she doesn't mind but damn that sounds easier ]

Definitely after marriage. We can work and have a happy relationship... Jeez, it's really that different when you come from?
[Well holy hell she is so sorry]
