[Almost as soon as the trial lets out, Tarrlok kind of... tears off to the kitchen, because he's mildly concerned that he's going to experience an adrenaline crash before he even starts cooking, and so he begins! He starts on some tea, marinating some beef for kebabs... but he feels like he's forgetting something...

[okay whew he makes it back to the kitchen. And so does Yuri at some point, actually! So... Tarrlok will be getting kebabs ready for everyone, since he was hungry for them, Yuri confirmed, and Cabanela said he'd have whatever he'd have. Speaking of, Cabanela shows up to make some chicken soup! And Yuri makes curry, teriyaki chicken, and steamed vegetables. So there's a little something for everyone. The food that gets put out isn't super fancy, but it's nice, and there's tea just like Elda wanted.

[Well, he's.... here. First thing is first to light a few new candles for those they've lost. Notably, he's only lit three of them. If someone really wants to light one for Kyrie, he's left an unlit candle and holder nearby if someone really wants to, but Cabanela just isn't feeling up to mourning someone who actively did all of that just a little while ago.

The food is... nice. It's nice. It's comforting, in an odd way. He hopes they can keep this energy to refuse to cooperate with the Coordinators going. He'll be milling about the dining room and halls, asking people how they're holding up.

Later, once most people have retired to their rooms, he can be found in the second library, looking around like he's at a loss.]

[ Yuri would've grabbed some of the letters from Sayaka's room later on, and as he's making his rounds he'll eventually come across Cabanela here. ]

Yo, Cabanela. Catch.

[ He'll wait for him to face him before he even considers handing over the letter for him. ]

[He turns to regard Yuri.]

Yeah, I do. Thought it'd be good if I handed them out so people get a chance to read these, y'know?

[ Here you go! +1 letter from Sayaka to Cabanela. ]

[He takes the letter, though he doesn't open it in front of Yuri. He's not sure that's a good idea.]

[ Yuri would've felt awkward about that too. So. ]

[ ... Normally Yuri would just ask 'how are you holding up' but god. Forget that. ]

[ One, on a big scale. Another one, still just as scary to imagine, but just as evident to him after all of that fuss. Would've been a third if he had moved quicker. ]

Might have something to do with the shock of us nearly getting screwed over. I doubt any of us will be forgetting any of that anytime soon.

I'm sure that's it. Ushiromiya seemed willing to kill us all.

...I suppose we should be grateful no one else tried to do the same.

Yeah. Well, good thing her efforts ended in failure.

I want to believe none of us will act again. It's time to find Jericho before he has a chance to try and get one of us to act on one of his ridiculous incentives again.

[Or to kill someone because the "clock" has run out.]

I want to believe it too, and still, that's something that'll probably come up in next week's meeting since we'll need to definitely talk about it then. Especially after he's given one of those incentives he likes so much.

[ Like god. Jericho might as well marry himself to them with how enthusiastic he is about it all the time. ]

Either way, he can't hide away forever. If he thinks we're gonna let him get away with this, he has another thing coming.

Library #2

[She kind of noticed the candles, but let the unlit one be. She has a lot of complicated feelings about Kyrie's death, but... No, it absolutely can stay unlit for a while, even if it was an accident.

They're both sort of on the same mission tonight, talking to others, so it's no wonder they miss each other in the dining room. Rin doesn't plan to go to bed tonight without having spoken to at least everyone though, so she makes a point of seeking Cabanela out. It takes a little while. By process of taking one room at a time, the library is obviously the last place she looks.]

...It's strange, isn't it? [She sits on one of the tables.] This building feels so large now, with just the eight of us.

[perpend]

[He gives her a sad smile.]

Maybe it's for the best we haven't been given another floor. This place is incredibly empty as it is.

[A few weeks ago, it was fairly easy to wander around and find someone in a room, but now...]

Yeah. [She nods.] I can guess what brought you up here, but are you sure this is where you want to be?

...Probably not, to be honest.

[It's not like catfriend is around currently to distract him.]

[Well, if he has her pick, she's going to go with something she thinks is engaging. She thinks about it as she laces her fingers behind her back, moving for the door.]
