[Throughout the day on Monday, everyone still left in the building will find a handwritten invitation delivered to them at some point or another, along with a bonus sheet of paper.

Hey, everyone. It's been quiet around here lately, so let's keep our spirits up and have some fun! The sun might not be shining, but we still have a great view of the stars, and somewhere warm to watch them from. Food and drink will be provided, so just bring yourself (and your bingo sheet!), and we'll enjoy each other's company.

There aren't any decorations upstairs, but there will be food and drink as promised, and lots of variety. Curry, soup and sandwiches, parfaits, homemade potato chips, a cheese plate; Rin went all out. For sweets, there's chocolate chip cookies and a lemon meringue pie, with milk or juice (that looks like it was made from scratch) to wash it down with. Alcohol too, if that's your thing. There's even a bloody mary for Elda, somehow.

As you might guess from the invitation, the bonus piece of paper delivered with the invites is a blank bingo sheet! Whether it's when the invites are delivered or when they come to the party, Rin will give everyone instructions on how to fill it out, and how the game is played.

HUMAN GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER BINGO

1. Fill out the sheet with 24 simple facts about yourself! They should be anything you're comfortable sharing with others, and most importantly they must be true
2. Share sheets with one another! If you have something in common with what's on another person's sheet, you can sign off on that square.
3. Players may sign up to two squares on one another's sheets, but only two! Normally you'd only collect a single signature, but this is a small group.
4. When one row has five signatures horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, that's a BINGO!
5. Whoever has the most BINGOs at the end of the night wins!

That should about cover it. But yeah, it's a game designed for the group to maybe get to know each other a little better. Discussion is encouraged, not just for what you have in common, but what you don't! What's most important is everyone have fun.]

Yes, though I do not yet know the extent of them. [...how does he put this.] My health has actually been rather poor for much of my life. But after arriving here, for the first time I have been without pain. Needless to say it was rather startling at first.

I am very decidedly caught up as well. [Very...decidedly...] But no, this particular one has been one that I have been aware of the entire time here.

Huh, that's weird they would fix that up for you, then. I mean mage-girl over there still has her arm aching every other day.

That gets him thinking, though... It's a little more personal than he'd like, but oh well.]

If I were to hazard a guess, it's because I would be in much worse shape than just aching if they didn't do something.

[ . . . Look, absolutely no one accused her of being delicate, ever. Ever.

... This is why she answers for this part without answering for that Rin part. ]

Ah, no. Besides, we're well aware that the Coordinators have no qualms about putting people with terminal illnesses into this game.

[But he doesn't blame Elda if she doesn't remember that detail about Walter. Or if she hasn't spent any time thinking about Walter since all of...that.]

[ Walter was sick??? ]

Oh, I suppose she would count too, wouldn't she. [Fern is the one Rideaux tries to not think about like, ever.] No, I'm talking about Walter White. According to Susan he had a terminal illness.

Oh, did he? I must've forgot that.

[ Or never knew it in the first place...

Okay she checked off that decorated room one, what next...

Oh she'll just mark off wealthy. That's more or less accurate. ]

I don't blame you. That entire...event...was a time I prefer not to think about if I can help it.

[It was something that he and Susan discovered while they investigated Walter's body. He can't quite remember if Susan ended up bringing it up at the trial. Then again, it was not a focal point.

And ah, cool! He's going to bring something up that Elda marked off.]

So you've decorated your room here? That is what I was referencing on my card.

[ Elda thinks about it all the time.

You meant here? Yeah, then ... yes. I suppose you could call that "decorating."

[Okay, here he goes! And huh, these squares are all over the place... He'll start off with "wants a manicure". He gets a chuckle out of the camera square, though. Gee, wonder where that came from?]

Yes. I made curtains and a new bedspread, and I painted the walls.

[He was so bored that week.

Elda's reaction, though...]

Ah...? So you really made the room your own, did you?

[ Elda's tone is... distant sounding? Thoughtful. Like she's in wonder at the idea of that. ]

[He nods.]

It was a few weeks ago. I didn't know how much longer we'd be here, so I figured I would at least take control of the room that I was stuck with for the time being. I did have some help with the painting though, so I suppose those individuals have their own place in it too.

[matchbreaker]

That room still isn't really "my" room, to me.

[ she responds, shaking her head. ]

Maybe it's just me.

...No, I don't believe it's just you. [He's sure others would agree.] They are only temporary in the end.

In the beginning, it was just the obvious design of it - that bed is too soft, the overhead light is far too bright, the walls are too quiet. But now, really...

[ Mmm. ]

It's the "decorations" themselves. That room's more a tomb than anything. If Hilda wouldn't spite me for it, I might just sleep in her office every day.

I believe she would have to do more than just spite you.

During the week where the incentive was memories, - well, you seemed to talk with Sayaka sometimes, you must've seen that journal she was making. Mine was a little larger. [ . . . ] I decided to cover all the walls of my room with pictures of my family and what friends I had made. People I knew, enemies. The works. And now, all of those are dead.

[Rideaux nods along with Elda's explanation. He recalls quite a few people being set on keeping track of their loved ones. But...oh.

Yeah, he definitely couldn't have guessed that. But as he recalls what Elda said at the last trial...]

There's no reason I should. Sure it's unbelievable, but it's no more so than reversing time or any other insanity we've been told he can do.

I will admit to being intimidated by some of the previous incentives, but that one...was a bit different for me. It is not a matter of whether he can do it or not.

Allow me the risk of sounding obnoxiously optimistic for a moment. Even if by some chance our worlds were connected in that way, there was likely a group in every one of them that was working to do something about it. Spirius Corporation and Spirius Corporation alone knew about my world's potential destruction for thousands of years. Yuri and his guild were very aware of his world's very impending cataclysm as well.

[But that's Yuri's story, so he won't elaborate.]

Jericho never outright said, "successfully complete the exercise or your world dies with absolute certainty". And you know how direct some of his other threats were.

It's better than simply writing our worlds off. We've all made too many plans for what to do when we're finished here for that.
