Between Truth or Dare and the resistance meeting, it seems things have been going reasonably well this week; at the same time, there have been fights here and there, and the Conductor's incentive has certainly been something to take into consideration as well. So there's been some good, and some bad, and some things that no one is talking about; the clock chimes on Friday morning, as it always does, and the doors to the kitchen and the mail room unlock. Of course, those wandering past the incinerator room will notice that it's...warm in there. Really warm? ...Oh. Blessedly enough, there isn't a body in the room, and the incinerator isn't large enough to destroy one, so this room can probably be left alone for now; however, just because there isn't a body here doesn't mean that everything is clear and no one has anything to hide. [It's drying quite a bit, but that's not altogether because it's all that old - it's been here for a while so it's not fresh, but there's also less of it than there should be.]

You'd think there would be more blood. Maybe she's been moved.

[She reaches out a (gloved) hand to carefully push some of that unusual hair around, looking for porcelain shards. Because that seems like a thing to look for right now.]

I don't know, it looks kind of like it's been smeared, I think? Let me go look and see if it looks like anything dripped.

[...yeah, are there any spatters away from what used to be Byakuren's head? Or smears away from that immediate area that would suggest a trail of blood and... other stuff was wiped up.]

[It does look like some of the blood was wiped up, yes - not immediately close to her head, but in the surrounding area.]

[HMMM. Does it seem to be leading in any particular direction, or does it seem like it was just to make sure this was slightly less of a mess.]

[Not around her head, no - looks like her chest took some damage, though. Contusions, like someone was trying to knock the wind out of her; the skin's intact and it wasn't enough to break ribs, just enough to bruise her up.]

Someone was trying to attack her, it doesn't look like this was a surprise attack.

No. I thought when we first got here that they'd just hit her from behind with the vase...

[Her arms also look like they took some damage - her right seems to have taken more than her left, it looks like she was defending against someone punching her.]

[Is there any blood on her hands or arms? That...isn't obviously from the gaping head wound?]

[HMMMM. That's definitely a clue, then. Are there any weird edges or smears he should look for (while he drops the swab with the blood on it into that jar very surreptitiously)?]
