Looks like this will be a weekly thing

[This whole week has been awful. This whole experience has been awful. Mordecai wants to go straight to his room and deal with his frustrations, but that's not what a mayor does. A mayor takes charge, a mayor fixes what's wrong, a mayor makes things better. Even if he can't do everything on his own, he's has to do something.

Two hours after the end of the trial, the living will find another note slipped underneath their doors.]

There's cookies in the kitchen. The dining room is ready for anyone who needs a quiet place to talk it out. I'll be in the bar if you need a drink, alcoholic or something more appropriate for the underage crowd.

[There's a pile of warm chocolate chip cookies in the kitchen. Two more candles are lit at the memorial - one for the victim, one for the culprit - and Mordecai has left a pile of blankets from the storage room on one of the dining room tables.]

[[Weiss' little display of anger hasn't made her feel any better. It's the first time in a while that her temper has gotten the better of her, and that's not good.

She'll walk into the dining hall and nibble at a cookie for a while before wandering upstairs.]

[ Marty is sure to catch her before she retreats. He wants to talk, but he's kind of afraid to. He doesn't want to get slapped. He really really doesn't. Hopefully her cookie will soften her up! ]

Are you, are you okay?

[You're safe from any slap, that's out of her system.]

Frustrated and upset, but the anger's gone. Are you okay?

Okay, I guess. I mean, okay as we're gonna get here. Right?

[ He offers a (rather shaky) smile. ] I'm here if you wanna talk about it. Y'know. With you being upset and everything.

Yeah, as okay as we'll get.

...mm. Honestly, it was a matter of too d-

[She stops herself.]

- too many murders, too many executions, and too much awful behavior from that dolt.

[ Marty wants to know what she was about to say...but he also doesn't. Most likely he would end up agreeing, though. Rick seemed to be more of a jerk than he wasn't.

He shrugged, rubbing the back of his neck. [ He had it coming. Guy's a jackass.

Not sure how morty gets stuck being around him l. Y'know?

['Too many damn murders', she was going to say. Everyone else is wearing off on her.]

...yeah. He is, and he's long since had it coming.

I suppose family bonds are stronger for some people than for others.

[ That's...true. Someone at school asked him how he can stick around his dad when he was an asshole. Marty said it was just because he was his dad, because hello? Wimp or not, Marty loved his dad. So maybe it was like that?

George was a wimp, though. Rick was a drunk asshole. George was not. ]

Guess so. Whatever floats his boat.

...Are you okay with everything else, though? I mean, ah... [ Stupid question, Marty. ]

I'm okay as I can be. That's not very, but I'm dealing.

...I'd still rather be back at Beacon with everyone, though.

Beacon? What's Beacon?

I don't think I've ever talked to you much before this though. I mean, other than once or twice during trials or something.

[Blue doesn't say anything to Weiss when she shows up.

Instead, she just lets out Wiggly, who immediately waddles over to her. You need a hug, friend?]

[Thank you, Wiggly. She does need that hug, very much.]

[Wiggly is really good at hugs! She's nice and squishy and comfy.

But Blue is here too. In fact, she'll join the group hug, because god damn, Weiss.]

Are you alright?

[Blue's going to get hugs, too.]

...it's been a month, and those things keep happening. You know? I'll be okay, but...

I know how you feel.

[Although it's not surprising to her. At the same time...]

The conductor gave us bonuses for killing at first. Now he's forcing us to act. It's not much of a consolation, but he's going to run out of ways to get us to kill each other.

It's cold comfort, but I'll take what I can get.

[When she laughs, it's a hollow sound.]

I'll be really glad when we're all safe at home. I miss it more the longer we're here.

...Next time, ask me and I'll punch him. It'll hurt much more. Maybe even knock him out and spare us all his presence for a while.

[Congrats, Dio, you have managed to get the first honest smile from her since Friday.]

I'll hold you to that.

[It was kind of a shame that Dio's smiles made him look like a shark, but so it went. It certainly looked honest for some value of the word.]

[Rakka is sure as heck going to try and catch up to her when she's wandering upstairs. Though, she noticeably slows down as she gets close.]

I... [She stumbled to a stop a little ways away, walking towards the other woman instead. She's breathing a little hard, because.... well, running in winter gear takes it out of anyone.]
