[This whole week has been awful. This whole experience has been awful. Mordecai wants to go straight to his room and deal with his frustrations, but that's not what a mayor does. A mayor takes charge, a mayor fixes what's wrong, a mayor makes things better. Even if he can't do everything on his own, he's has to do something.

Two hours after the end of the trial, the living will find another note slipped underneath their doors.]

There's cookies in the kitchen. The dining room is ready for anyone who needs a quiet place to talk it out. I'll be in the bar if you need a drink, alcoholic or something more appropriate for the underage crowd.

[There's a pile of warm chocolate chip cookies in the kitchen. Two more candles are lit at the memorial - one for the victim, one for the culprit - and Mordecai has left a pile of blankets from the storage room on one of the dining room tables.]

[It's definitely some kind of list, though it's sort of disorganized and jumbled. Logan's handwriting is still neat despite how much he's trying to get down so quickly.]

...I fought shadows back home. They aren't exactly the same as whatever is in the pit, but I thought it might be a starting point, should we need to fight it.

[logan the last time you saw something and decided to fight it you got over a hundred people killed and nearly died why are you doing this again]

The closest thing we have to shadows are ghost-type Pokémon, and I don't think that's gonna help any.

[So instead, she'll just keep browsing what Logan's writing.]

Are you gonna share this with everyone else?

Of course. I'm not sure how many among us are trained and willing to fight that thing, should it come to that. It's best for everyone to have some idea of what we may be up against.

[As long as no one asks him for too many details about the shadows he fought, he thinks he'll be fine!]

[He'll hand over the pen as well, since he only brought the one.]

[She'll turn the paper over and scribble a quick question onto it, then.]

Do you think we could all bring torches to the next trial? If we can find something long enough to hold, we can burn bundled up fabric from the sewing room.

That's an excellent idea. We'll have to see if we can find something to use for that. Having more light in there would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure alcohol is really flammable, too. Maybe Rick will have an idea on how to take those shadows out.

That's a very good idea. We should have another meeting to organize all of our thoughts on this. Communicating like this may help, though I'm not sure if the Conductor is aware of what we're writing or not.

Better safe than sorry, right? It's worth a try to keep his eyes away.

When do you want to call the meeting? Before Tuesday is best, isn't it?

Yes. It would be best to hold it at the same time, I believe, so Dio can attend. I'll leave a note in the kitchen on Monday.
